Senior citizen might lose home because of Woodbridge.
First, they missed a lot of edits and printed anyway. I paid $3K up front, and was hustled by Ali to send in another $3K to print for a signing. I sent in $1,500 but toldd him to wait. They had me booked in a 12' x 14' "Bookstore" C'mon now. I am 72, retired and out of cash. I need my $1,500 back and they won't give it to me. They want to send me books. Books I don't need - a warm apartment in the Winter I do. They are a rip-off and, if I get money for Christmas, I'll pay the $50 and file with the BBB.

Poor Project Management
I honestly really wanted this to be a great experience. Publishing a book is emotional and exciting - especially given it’s my first time, but working with Woodbridge has just been stressful.
Everything felt slow and unorganized from the start. The social media plan wasn’t really a plan. Turnaround on edits and updates on marketing materials took forever. And then the sample copies never arrived, so I couldn’t even check the book before printing.
But the worst part? They printed 100 copies using an OLD version of my file - with mistakes and a completely misaligned cover simply because they are unorganised and poor project management.
Their solution was basically just: “Sorry, we won’t charge the remaining balance.” Except now I have to deal with reprinting everything at my own cost - which is obviously way more expensive than whatever “balance” they waived.
The only bright spot in this whole thing was Kelly, the editor-in-chief. She was genuinely helpful and supportive. Unfortunately, she was the exception, not the rule.
I wouldn’t recommend this experience to anyone who wants peace of mind while publishing. It’s been exhausting when it should’ve been exciting.
Responding based on their response:
Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed response. I appreciate the transparency and the effort to clarify your perspective on the situation. I will do the same — not only to address the issues I personally faced, but also so future authors do not go through the same experience.
While I understand the logistical challenges you mentioned, the core issue here was not the deadline — it was the project management from the very beginning. There were repeated lapses in attention to detail that should never happen in a publishing process:
-The project manager went completely silent halfway through the project.
-The social media plan had multiple typographical errors, including the title of the book being wrong. The creative materials genuinely felt like they were generated without proper review.
-The statement in your email about the launch being on 1st December is incorrect — it is on 6th December, and this was stated clearly multiple times.
-Most significantly: how was an outdated manuscript and misaligned cover approved and printed? This is not a result of deadlines. It is a result of a lack of meticulous oversight and miscommunication within your team.
These are avoidable mistakes that have real consequences — financially, emotionally, and reputationally — especially for a debut author.
I would like to reiterate that I do not need the offer of article placements as a “gesture.” What I need is for errors like this not to happen in the first place.
At this stage, based on my experience — and consistent with other reviews — it truly does feel like the company is run by one or two individuals behind multiple email accounts, rather than a structured publishing team. And as such, the only area I can genuinely recommend Woodbridge for would be editing support — I had a positive experience there.
I hope you take this feedback seriously. Authors choose publishers trusting that their work will be handled with care. That trust needs to be earned and maintained — not repaired after the fact.

Hi Izza Ariffin,
Thank you for sharing your concerns. We can understand how emotional and exciting the book publishing process is, especially for a first experience, and we never want any author to walk away feeling stressed.
Regarding the printing of older copies, we can also understand that there seems to have been a misunderstanding regarding the updated copy of the menu script that was shared most recently. We want to make it clear that we are willing to help and never step away from solving issues, however, we also need clear facts to understand what led to this mishap.
You never mentioned that your book launch was on 1st December at the start of the project. You informed us very late in the process, and that was the main reason this issue occurred. If such a tight deadline had been communicated from the beginning, we would not have accepted this order at the original amount, because delivering printed books from the UK to Dubai involves both time and cost. Shipping from the UK to Dubai, especially through printing platforms, already carries high delivery charges, and logistics alone can take up to a month, even longer depending on service type.
The sample copy was dispatched, and the tracking number and order reference for the delivery were shared with you. Since it was one single copy being shipped from the UK to Dubai, the printing platform informed that delivery may take up to one month. Using UPS Express for one copy was extremely expensive, and this was explained clearly previously. Shipping a single copy through express service was far more costly than platform shipping, which is why we suggested the most reasonable route at the time.
The remaining $600 balance was waived because you had previously told us that if the printed copies did not reach on time, you would not pay the balance. When the error occurred, we honored that condition and informed you we would let go of the balance, and also provide free placement of 2 articles on 2 websites as a gesture of support. You responded that you appreciated this, and we respected that response.
We want to clarify as well, that we always respond on time. There has never been intentional delay from our side. We work carefully with every file we receive, and action happens based on information provided. The timing of the 100 copy printing, and the use of a prior file version, was not done with disregard, rather, it happened within the workflow timeline before the latest file updates were confirmed, and before the launch urgency was shared.
We respect your frustration, truly, but we also want you to know that had this deadline pressure, logistics cost, and timing sensitivity been stated clearly at the beginning, we would have either priced the project differently, or informed that such delivery was not possible in that timeframe at that amount.
We never want a misunderstanding to be the final outcome of this conversation.
Thank you again for trusting us enough to speak up, we care about getting the facts right, and making sure your publishing journey, moving forward, feels safe, supported, and clear.
Thank You

PHYSIOLOGICALLY AND TRAUMA DAMAGING
This company Woodbridge Publishers received a large amount of money approx €19K from me and did not achieve a single sale. Any books I sold I sold myself. Woodbridge to do many things but failed in fulfilled none of them, even down to having my book in bookstores.
It's sad and traumatising that I who spent time doing a book relating to my past childhood counters of sexual abuse are taken advantage of by Woodbridge Publishers. I can't go into all the expensive hoops I had to go through only to end up with virtually nothing only a book that pages were not even of quality. The many many names I have to deal with. I even question being fake names same as company it self?,
Daniel and the team, They promise the best and deliver nothing but a nightmare, a dark traumatic world. The displeasure to work with, a very costly absolute nightmare. Most encounter and interaction I had with them was a problem. I really can’t wait to get rid of them.
They just try to extort more money off you for everything but do little.
Same with London Book Fair I paid dearly only for it to be a disaster.
They sent me out books that was for another customer in uk last December and I was asked to send them by courier to the customer and they would pay me for it. I still haven’t been paid for it.
Woodbridge describe themselves as Expert Ghostwriting and Publishing Services but in my experience they are not. It wouldn’t surprise me if they are a Vanity Publisher and with no quality control process.
I try to cancelled the contract but having paid in up front always, they have never cared. All words no Action.
My lawyers have been in touch with them and to no resolution. It is now in process and applied for it going into court hearing. despicable scam and they now must face the law. I wouldn’t recommend anyone touch them.

Biggest bunch of fraudsters I’ve ever…
Biggest bunch of fraudsters I’ve ever had the displeasure to work with. They promise the dream and deliver a very costly absolute nightmare. Mistake after mistake, lies after lies, every encounter and interaction I had with them was a problem. I couldn’t wait to get rid of them in the end.
They just try to extort more money off you for everything. Said they were taking copies of my book to the London and Frankfurt Book Fairs. I attended both and there was no sign of my book. Everything they came out with was absolute garbage. Basically you are just paying them to publish your book on Amazon which you can do yourself for free and I’ve had more success doing it that way with a different book than the one I paid for through this publishers. Please save your money and do not use these scam artists.

Based on your email exchanges with your project manager, we understand that you were satisfied with these services.

False Pormises
This company took a large amount of money from me and did not achieve a single sale. All books I sold I sold myself. Self-publishing is a way for other people to make money off the talents of others. Woodbridge made many promises and fulfilled none of them. It's sad that writers like myself who've spent a lifetime developing a skill are taken advantage of by companies like this. I can't even begin to go into all the expensive hoops I had to jump through only to end up with virtually nothing. And the truth is, my book is really good.

Would not recommend
Despite being reassured from the onset that Woodbridge Publishers was capable of handling a professional resource guide, they were obviously unfamiliar with this writing format. I was not able to receive interior formatting assistance because of the format of the book and had to do it myself. I also had three different project managers and it took over a year to finalize. I was often responsible for staying on top of details and was extremely disappointed at the lack of quality control (e.g., book cover design updates were inconsistent and the final project did not have the approved cover). Additionally, I was repeatedly asked to include a promotional package to my project but continuously declined because there were so many challenges - why would I give more money if they were struggling to manage the package I already purchased? As a whole, I would not recommend Woodbridge Publishers for those seeking to publish professional resource materials. And I do not plan to utilize them in the future for my other pending projects.

This company is a fraud
This company is a fraud, blatantly promoting my bestselling ghostwritten books under a ghostwriter who doesn’t exist. My lawyer has been investigating for over a month and has contracts and correspondence. My clients have been notified, legal action to follow.

Scam
I have just discovered that this company are using a fake name, using my ghostwriting profile taken from my website, (word for word) and are also claiming credit for three of my best selling titles. My lawyers have been advised. A below the belt dispicable scam. They are charging $10,000 plus, to work with a best selling ghostwriter and hooking the client up with an unknown unexperienced writer.
