I wish I could rate them negative stars…
I only wish I could rate them negative stars… First problem: I could only make a single room reservation, not a reservation for multiple rooms at a single hotel. Should’ve taken this first hint, but it was for a much loved nephew’s wedding so I pressed on… Did I mention I paid the the three rooms up-front? :/ Second problem: I needed to add a name to the three separate reservations I ended up making — I was going to arrive later than the rest of my party and wanted them to be able to check in without. So I called the hotel — Hyatt Place Baltimore Inner Harbor, which…oof, please just don’t even think about staying there, folks — to add a name to all three rooms. On four separate calls I was informed that they received 6(!) reservations from the withjoy[.]com/Priceline ding-dongs (remember I only made three and only received three confirmation emails) and that five(!) of them had been cancelled, leaving me with only one king room reserved (for a party of 6). So I cancel the one reservation and booked three rooms elsewhere. Third problem: withjoy[.]com only offers email support. Really slow, really ineffective email support. No phone number to call where it’s easier to explain things and where problems can be handled through real-time, synchronous communication. Anyway, my issue got passed about between a total of four people, each who were only capable of assuring me over email I’d get a full refund, but were in reality incapable of helping sort things out with the Hyatt Place Baltimorons of the Inner Harbor. Fourth Problem: a week goes by, with a few email responses saying they were “looking into it” only for them to say — without offering *any* evidence whatsoever — that the Hyatt Place Baltimorons of the Inner Harbor “front desk” — the same (Balti)morons who informed me that my reservations were cancelled, mind you — said that my “reservations were confirmed on their end.” And also that “They have also confirmed that they were able to accommodate you during your stay.” And finally “Due to this, no refunds were processed.” So to say they’re the worst wedding booking site ever is not doing it nearly enough justice. Stay away, everyone! Unless of course you like dealing with incompetent swindlers that prey on people participating in the formation of core family memories. Believe me, my entire family will always remember this wedding, but not necessarily for all the joy. Withjoy[.]com’s superlatively crappy performance will certainly be part of the family lore, too. Hope all wedding planners read this, take it seriously, and don’t put their wedding guest through the agony of dealing with withjoy[.]com.
