We only gave ourselves 3.5 months to organise our wedding. We had 250 guests so an online solution was always going to be best. My niece had used Joy earlier this year and it seemed to work well. Even though I researched other sites, Joy was definitely the best. Our guests loved the digital invitations. We loved the ability to send different invitations depending on who was invited to which part of the day. The support team were also really responsive when I came across set up I didn’t quite understand. The one little downside was the restriction on sending invitations in bulk by WhatsApp here in the UK. I hope that can be resolved for future users. Otherwise, would highly recommend.

Great free site for setting stuff up! I personally found the UI quite confusing. To me, it's literally a flat website, with a number of pages. Some of which have fancy functions (e.g. hotel finder, schedule etc). However the site split the backend in to 'basic website pages' and to 'special pages', which we found hard to navigate.

I wish I could have added a few more photos or change page layouts a bit. Also, it wasn’t clear how to export guest lists. With that, I’m still happy I went with this service! I’d do it again and will recommend it.

Its been a good experience so far

The website was easy to follow. I got so many helpful tips I didn’t know I needed to make wedding planning easy. My guest got great discounts for their hotel stay. Navigating the website we created was straightforward without hiccups.

The website is quite robust, and doesn't push a million products on you, like other sites do. It however has pretty frustrating glitches, where functionality is "also in the app" but does not really work consistently. Adding a registry item, guest list can often fail, both on and off data. This hasn't been a big issue for us as these tasks may be best done on the browser. But an app native planning process would be a nonstarter for me.

I had a difficult issue involving a non-refundable hotel reservation for a canceled wedding. For a while I was stuck between Joy, the hotel and Joy’s travel partner with no one taking ownership. Once the issue reached Richie Mathews and Isabella Dentrice the experience changed. Richie got the right person involved and Isabella took ownership from there. She worked directly with the hotel and Joy’s travel partner and got a full refund issued. What impressed me most was that Isabella didn’t just send me back into the support loop. She stayed on it and got it resolved. I’m grateful for the way Richie and Isabella handled this once it reached them.
