We are hosting a big party and are using withjoy. The invitation and RSVP process makes no sense to anyone. In order to RSVP you have to click the link on the invitation to go to the website, once you are on the website, you have to find the RSVP tab at the top. There is no way to make the font bigger. Then you have to enter your name exactly as it is in the list. If you shut off the exact requirement, anyone can RSVP. The biggest issue is you cannot use text messaging. My husband suggested that I use Evite to be able to text invitations to people and just include the link to the website, which I might do. It is rediculuous that evite has a simpler process for collecting RSVPs than this time consuming cluncky process. The plus one process is rediculous too. There should just be a column that denotes what party the group is with rather than the mechanism used in the guest list. Finally, the photo album feature doesn't allow people to add messages. So there is some way to create a virtual guest book but I couldn't figure it out and so I used an external applicaiton and linked it to the site. It is so frustrating!

My daughter booked a room for a wedding from a set aside room block. When she arrived, she was told that the Joy site had canceled her reservations. She received no notice and no refund. It's impossible to get customer service. There is no phone # , no humans, and only an unhelpful AI agent. Do not use this site for your wedding plans.

Beware, hotel rooms are non-refundable. You pay at time of booking and if anything changes you're screwed!

The Joy registry page is not showing prices for several of my synced Amazon registry items. I now have to go in manually to write down the price of each item in the notes section.

The accommodation booking function is not accurate. It allows booking of accommodation which in fact is not actually available on the hosts website.

We used WithJoy for the wedding website, which was fine. Their guest tracking feature was better for us than Zola. However, the experience with their registry and WithJoy store was so terrible and awful that I cannot recommend this website to anyone. They are literally out of stock on more than half of their items that people purchased for us. But they dont tell you that until they already purchased it. And they dont refund you, they provide the money as "Joy Credit" which is a useless credit that you can only spend on their "Joy Store" which is again, mostly out of stock, and incredibly marked up pricing. The website is slow, impossible to navigate, and good luck trying to figure out how to even use your Joy Credit. This website is exploitative towards couples and should not exist. They should be ashamed of themselves.

We are unable to attend a friend’s wedding but trying to buy a gift from the registry is miserable. My attempt launched me to Amazon which didn’t know where to ship the gift. It’s nowhere on the site, I asked the AI agent and it said they collect that information from the couple, but won’t display it to the guests. If they aren’t directly in the ordering process, there is no point collecting the address and if they are, they need to give the option to ship directly. This site has been confusing and frustrating. Do your guests a favor and go somewhere else.

An item that a guest paid a significant amount of money for has been out of stock for over a month now and there’s no way to request to get the item back in stock????? There is also no way to get the money out of the system from Joy for the item that has been paid for to buy it on another website either. This is extremely frustrating and totally unacceptable for a young couple trying to build their life together. Why even bother having your own “inventory” if it can’t be requested to be put back in stock? It’s criminal. I will be warning everyone to NOT use Joy for this exact reason until this issue has been resolved.
