I’m 63, have alopecia, and have been wearing Lizzy by Rene of Paris for 4 years and just love this style and the colors on me! I have discovered that if you let the wig settle a bit out of the box, use styling cream to smooth it out, wear it around the house for a week your wig will be just right! Never had a problem with size - guess it just works well for my size head - average. And the best part is no one knows it’s a wig - even my mom says so!

I love Raquel Welch wigs; great customizable styles that wash and wear well. This particular scalp/hairline is excellent. (Have my wigs cut at the part to have a few light bangs and what I call “new growth baby hairs” so that it is more natural; doesn’t look like a helmet ... or a wig! My only critique of Straight Up With a Twist is that it has one huge swath of really light hair in the front - this works perfectly for the baby hairs, but the swath across the top is a bit too chunky for me. (I just have my stylist feather it away so it blends in w/the other strands...) Definitely get this wig! Raquel Welch blended shades are so natural - I’ve had so many people ask me “Who does your color? Are they local?” (BTW, I have some hair left, so I sew-in clamp combs - very secure, to the point that I can relax and forget I’m wearing my “hat!” all day...). As for washing, once every week or two, I simply turn it inside out and “sozzle” it in a bathroom sink filled with warm water and 2 T baking soda. I walk away and let it soak about a half hour - then I work a small amount of regular shampoo thru it, rinse, turn it right-side out and comb* diluted/stirred regular conditioner on it - as if it’s a creme rinse. *I use a wide comb to gently pull mixture thru and straighten strands, then very lightly rinse (to keep some of the conditioner in; it drips down to the tips) and let dry on a vented wig stand with a towel at the base. Dries in about an hour! Sounds like a lengthy process, but since weekly, every 2 week’s, it’s really NOT a big deal. I use Fabreze fabric freshener (squeeze spray) inside the cap every night before placing it on my wig stand (which is actually a cute glass-shaded lamp from which I’d chopped off the electrical cord (so it doesn't look like I have a wig stand on my bathroom counter!)

I love buying my wigs here. I burned the top of my head two times with a curling iron and had to cover the place. I bought my first wig here at a shop and then found out about your wig place. I got the same wig for $100.00 less. I got the Christa and love it. I had it trimmed and no one can even tell it’s a wig. I wanted s lighter color and talked with a representative there and she helped me decide on the right color. She was so nice and knowledgeable. I absolutely love the color and plan to order another one soon. Thank you so much.
