ANGELA W.
Bit long but honest
I have been dealing with baldness due to alopecia for the last 2 years. It has been an emotional rollercoaster to say the least. The idea of a wig/cranial prosthesis has been brought up to me many times. I sadly judged them by getting a couple on amazon and realizing just how silly they look and are. I finally sat down with my best friend and started looking. I had salt and pepper hair and loved it and knew that if I was going to do a wig I wanted it to be similar. I also wear my hair short, sometimes spiked. I knew there would be no way I would ever be able to find something I would like, that would fit or that I would be comfortable in. As we looked through the options we came across Voltage by Raquel Welch. (Raquel Welch was recommended to me prior) I was hesitant but decided to give it a shot. I actually ordered 2 of the same wig with slightly different colors. My best friend is also a hair stylist and she styled one of the wigs for me. I wear a lot of hats or beanies. I chose to have one of the wigs be my "hat wig" I only wear this one under hats. When I tell you putting this wig on rocked my world. I didn't even realize how bad I felt about myself and my life until I put this on and went into public. I walked to the grocery store and while I shopped I held my head high, felt so much happiness, so much gratitude for the fact that I finally felt like myself again. I had no idea that it would have this kind of affect on my life. When I got home from the grocery store I sat on my couch and cried tears of gratitude and relief. The fit has been perfect. I love that there are straps to loosen or tighten the wig. I can't say enough wonderful things about these wigs.
