We are concerned that this review may have been intended for a different company. You contacted us yesterday to report that you had not received your package and had already opened an investigation with UPS regarding the missing shipment. We responded today confirming that we could see the investigation and that we had provided UPS with the additional documentation requested from us. Because you reported that this package was not received, we are unsure how you were able to evaluate the fragrances contained in the shipment. The order in question contained 15 different fragrances. If the package has since been located, it was delivered only 25 hours before this review was posted. Evaluating 15 different fragrances properly in such a short period of time would be difficult, particularly since fragrances can smell different in the bottle than they do when individually tested and allowed to develop on the skin. We also want to be very clear that we do not sell expired products. Our fragrances have a very high inventory turnover, and there is no basis for the claim that “expired DPG cutting oil” was used in these products. We are continuing to cooperate with the UPS investigation regarding your report that this shipment was not received. If the package has now been located and delivered to you, we would appreciate you letting us know so that the open UPS investigation can be updated accordingly.

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify that we have not reduced the concentration of our oils or changed our formula to make them less concentrated. We have also worked with the same fragrance manufacturer for almost 30 years. We reviewed your order history and found that your previous order with us was in 2019, and your last purchase of Black Woman was in 2016. The bottle you are using for comparison is therefore around 10 years old. Fragrances can naturally change in scent and color as they age, so a product that has been stored for 10 years is not necessarily going to provide a like for like comparison with a freshly produced batch. In fact, the fact that you have been able to keep and enjoy the fragrance for approximately 10 years speaks very well to how it has held up over such an extended period of time. Fragrance preferences and perceptions can also vary considerably from person to person, which is why we offer samples and recommend trying fragrances before purchasing larger quantities. We appreciate your feedback, but we did want to clarify for anyone reading that we have not reduced the concentration or quality of our oils. Our oils continue to be made at the same concentration and by the same fragrance manufacturer we have worked with for almost 30 years.
