WhistleReviews of whistle.com

So far so good. Very easy setup and does good job at tracking. Will use phone resources as phone needs to be in high GPS pinpoint accuracy to work properly. So you may find yourself charging phone battery more often. It will work in heavy cloud cover and can with stand a little moisture. In track mode it shows very good outline of where your furry friend is heading and distance. If you have a dog walker this tells you everything that went on. I would say a very good investment for your furry friends.

Just got my Whistle 3. Have had a few moments of frustration, but going back to the directions, or the in-app Help has solved them all. So far, working well with my Android phone.

straightforward and user-friendly process.

Customer service was great, and the user experience of the Whistle 3 is great. Unfortunately, it died after a little over a year of use (just outside the warranty).

Good system that has saved many hours of searching. I use it with a training coller for long range (1 mile) hunting . Works great! Only problem is with rubber strap attachment. It wears out and breaks within a year. If you don't catch it before it breaks, you will be buying another. Whistle should supply a second rubber strap rather than charginging me $ 11.00

Well after a trial period here is my opinion on the whistle pet tracker. Customer service 5 stars. Immediate quick to resolve an issue or answer a question I had. Battery life, 5 stars, I have no idea why so many have written bad reviews on the issue, as long as he is in home territory it last for days been up to 3 consecutive then at 50% I charge it. Now I can say this I have never had to find him after wandering off, but the tracking seems to be slow and yes has told me he is somewhere out of range when he is laying right next to me. I have not figured out why yet but false location information concerns me. Also the location reload rate is way to long and a dog can cover lots of ground in short time if he is moving with a purpose, it seems real time updating should be looked into for future updates on this unit. One thing I do know is I put the tracker in the car and drove around for a while and it was updating way behind my actual position showing places I was 5 minutes ago. Yep dogs do move slower than cars. Hopefully They look into the accuracy issue and a future update will include deal time tracking when out of home range.

I love the feeling of security the Whistle3 gives me. The only "negative" is that the device is too big for our small Mini Schnauzer, in my opinion. She weighs about 14 pounds and has a small neck. I knew that would probably be the case but am dealing with it because of the pease of mind factor. Our Mini Schnauzer can be an escape artist if there is something she is interested in outside her yard. We live on a lake with alligators and are quit close to a busy street. The most recent time she "went on an unsupervised adventure"she was 1/2 to 1/4 mile from home when someone called me. That scared me out of my mind so that's the reason I researched (quite extensively by the way) and chose this device. Thank heavens it has not been necessary to go find her since she has had it on but I truly appreciate the peace of mind it gives me. Our past experiences with dogs getting out (and sadly drowning in our lake) have made me very paranoid about her escaping. Thank you for engineering and marketing this device. Now please go to work on making it smaller and I would buy another one. Maybe a 'trade-up' program might be considered because I can't believe I'm the only user who might appreciate a smaller device with all of the same features. Just saying ........

Whistle tracker is very easy to use and to set up. We like the peace of mind it gives us to know if our dog would stray we can easily locate him with the app. It is very durable and has held up well to the hard use our German shepherd puts it thru. The only reason I do not give it 5 stars is the time delay between when our dog leaves his whistle zone and when we receive the text alert. We have invisible fence so fortunately we are not relying solely on the app to notify us when he strays but I feel if that is the main reason a customer would want this product that feature could use some improvement. Overall we are very pleased with the unit and have recommended it to several people.
