The peace of mind is priceless. I would have given 5 stars but sometime there are periods of 2-3 weeks, a few times throughout the year, where Whistle cannot connect to my dog's device. Having said that, I just bought my 3rd Whistle. Our family loves it. Even our kids who no longer live at home stay connected on his whereabout and activity. We would never let our pet travel without it.

Wow I have truly enjoyed the whistle collar and give it 4 stars but most of the time 5 stars occasionly my dog will be inside the house and a notification will come up and it will tell me they're down the road. This has happened more than once but not in the last few days. Not sure if GPS was getting acclimated. I also had to find one of dogs and it was extremely helpful in locating.

I think the site layout changed from 2 years ago. The listing layout doesn't feel intuitive, but I like the banners for the product categories and themes (leashes/collars). I dont feel like I'm reviewing a whole lot about the sepcs of the products, but I suppose the comparison chart is okay.

My whistle (which is no longer made) Takes a lot of time to track and pinpoint location . Ricky

Works quite well at monitoring many aspects of my dogs health and activity. Because it relies heavily on its connection to your own WiFi, if you have a strong signal then it is difficult to restrict your dog to only your property. In addition, unless the animal is outside the perceived WiFi range, the GPS cannot be activated. If you have a fairly large property, and simply want or need to find your dog, you are out of luck. My dog is deaf! It is useless to whistle (no pun intended), shout, or otherwise call. Is she at home or not? Whistle, so far has been correct in saying she is still in the yard, somewhere.

I just got into the Whistle Explorer, and I do love it. But in all honesty the device needs a "30 second" option. I realize that would be a draw on the battery, but especially when the dog has escaped it would be be much more helpful if the owner could count on 30 second updates. But it would be nice for the family trip option too. After years of using other fitness apps that really show my path (running or walking), the equivalent view Whistle shows has us walking/running through many yards and over houses. So I love it, I just wish I could opt into 30-second updates.
