The concept is good
The concept is good, but could be improved. Unless you have a dedicated WiFi that reaches several hundred feet, the battery barely lasts one day. Once it is out of WiFi range it is constantly hitting the cell towers which eats up the battery.

Hello, I am sorry to hear that you have unpleasant experience with Whistle tracker for poor battery life! WiFi plays a really important role for the Whistle tracker. Not only does it allow the tracker to transfer activity data, but we send firmware updates to the device via WiFi as well. In case device is not connected with WiFi it can only send activity data to our servers via your phone's Bluetooth when you use the Bluetooth Low Energy option by opening your phone within range of the tracker. This also means the device is not able to tell us when it is charged or how much battery it has unless it sends it via Bluetooth, so the app is using an estimated battery level to guess when the battery is getting low. In case you have large property, please consider having WiFi extender. This will be helpful! If you should ever need any assistance with your device please do not hesitate to contact our support team at: 1-855-999-0471 Mon-Fri 7:00 AM-4:00 PM PST Sat-Sun 7:00 AM-3:30 PM PST.
