I bought a collar online. The company didn't warn me it didn't fit all GPS units. If they had done that, they wouldn't have snapped up my money for the wrong product. I don't have time for such trickery.

The Whistle Go Explore is a good product; however, there are quality control issues. Out of 5 devices I purchased, one has an issue. The device is still under their 1-year warranty. The device would not always indicate when my pet left the house; nor did the battery last very long. After 2 weeks worth of tests via Whistle support, I was still left with a tracker that I could not trust. Whistle will not replace it. Their support network, although friendly, is very disorganized. They do not go back and review your trouble history; as a result they run you through the same tests over and over. The best Whistle would do was to offer me 20% off a new device, despite the fact my faulty tracker and was still less than a year old. I believe in the product enough that I did purchase another tracker. This time I used my Platinum Mastercard to extend the warranty. Don't believe the claim of "Best in class support."

Great product, however, the true costs requires a replacement of your device just about annually. This should be clearly defined at the time of purchase. I've had a whistle on my dog for about 6 years (started with a Tagg) and get frustrated every 12-18 months when I have to BUY a new device.

was still being charged a monthly fee when our whistle stopped locating and we had not even had a notification or warning that it was not working ... Still very angry about this but i guess having to upgrade and spend more money was the only option. Lets see how log this new one will actually last !

Purchased the whistle go along with a years subscription back in April for my outdoor cat after moving to into a new house. It worked well for about a month before we started constantly getting false alerts multiple times a week. At one point it said he was 400 miles from home which obviously wasn’t true. Contacted customer service and the excuse they gave me was the false alerts can happen if it disconnected from WiFi which my cat wasn’t connected to WiFi to begin with because he was out roaming the neighborhood. Their solution was to do a hard reset which I did but didn’t help at all. Recently my cat was actually lost for almost 2 days because when I went to track him it wouldn’t update! And then it said the tracker was dead less than 24 hrs after being fully charged. If I could get my money back I’d definitely try a different tracker. At this point we’ve just gotten used to the constant false alerts.

Hi Tm, I am so sorry that you are having issues with your tracker giving out False Notifications. They usually occur whenever the tracker disconnects from WiFi and tries to communicate with the cellular networks when inside your safe place. I would recommend you to reconnect your tracker to the WiFi network at your home. I recently purchased the Whistle Go Explore for my dog and have had issues with the looseness of the device to the collar attachment. It once become detached from the collar attachment when my dog was in the backyard, Yesterday I noticed the entire unit was missing from dog's collar. Searching the backyard I found it and noticed one of the bars of the hook and loop collar attachment had broken completely off allowing the entire device to separate from the collar. I ordered a new hook and loop attachment yesterday. It's my opinion you do not build these units strong enough and I'm wondering how long the new one will last.
