NIB Whistle 3 Phone finds device , won't connect to internet (everything else in house does)...New App constantly crashes, Legacy App forces an upgrade to new app. 1)Support says Not compatible with 802.1x (That Is false, the x is a variable for several protocols, most of them) 2) My phone is incompatible (Galaxy Note 8) was told to buy another phone (That is plain nutz). Even though new unused still with security tape was told it was out of warranty. Then they told me the technology changed I need the new version at a cost of course. AMZ is still selling this device Whistle 3 gets 4 stars there. The dog is chasing it's tail. Whistle is forcing obsolescence Caveat Emptor. Avoid Avoid Avoid or spend more money for what you already have that should be WORKING (Updated grammar)

I have been sent a request to review a product that I have yet to receive!! Bad, bad dog!!

Awful service. I have been on Whistle Chat for almost an hour, still no one has picked up the chat. I have ordered 5 Whistle 3 for my 5 dogs. One of them would only hold a charge for a few days. Whistle finally sent me a replacement. It holds a charge for no more than 3 days. I wrote back a few weeks ago and have not heard anything back from Whistle. Support is terrible. Product does do what it is supposed to. What happens if me dog gets out and its been 3 days? It seems that the product is hit or miss. I understand that the battery is supposed to last "up to 7 days" which means anything "up to 7 days" so I guess this product's life of 3 days is right there.

I have had a horrible experience with Whistle customer service. I've been with Tagg/Whistle for many years. The customer service employees used to be located in the US and were extremely helpful. I'm assuming it's now been outsourced to foreigners who barely speak english and I can tell they are just following a computer generated answers and they don't really know how to help.

I have gotten emails stating my device was delivered. It was not! I have been asked Ed about setting up device... would love to but I DO NOT have it🙃 have been asked for feedback about how I’m enjoying my new device.... hummm I am now responding a third time - I have not received device. Now this email asking me to rate customer service... do they even have a department for that?

I am about to contact the Company about returning my Whistle 3. Upon charging completion and intermittently, the device will report my dog as hundreds of feet outside her safe location. This was an immediate and is a persistent issue since acquisition. Moreover, notwithstanding constant safe place presence of my dog and a low reporting time setting my device has battery life of less than two days. Neither of these problems is acceptable or close to what was advertised.

Whistle has been nothing but unreliable and ineffective. I bought two for my dogs. First there is only a 30% chance it will report either dog leaving the safe zone. Then, I have taken them on several walks this week whistle will not activate until they are at least 500 feet away from the safe zone. Then I have a constant set of message saying whistle has lost connection with one or both dog. It has not been able to finish a single walk we have taken. It does not deliver their location in real time so it is constantly telling me where they were not where they are. Finally when I contact support they just read through the same log as on my phone and inform me that it is having trouble keeping a connection (ya think-that is why I called). The final conclusion from support is that there are too many trees. I bought this because of the 5 star rating, the devise is seriously flawed and neither one of the two I bought work with any reliability. Responding to Whistle, yes it is at our cabin. My phone service is AT&T and works great, so again if the whistle is having connection problems I do not have such issues with my AT&T phone, so I see it S a defective product. All that aside I need a system that will track them in remote areas they don’t wander in urban cities. I don’t want to banter via this format. Your read of the coverage is different than your support group. Be that as it may, the devise is ineffective and unreliable at my house and I am switching brands.

Con people. I received a coupon for my dogs return..Oscars welcome home gift a few days ago and ordered the GPS unit and service. However the $30 coupon did not go through. When I inquired about it I was told the coupon was expired. Did not say so on ad that was mailed as gift july 17th. Their partner Petpaws will be hearing about this too.
