So far I like the whistle 3. But battery life is huge for me as my dogs roam a large ranch 12 hrs a day. Battery is barely making it thru 1 day. Might be a deal breaker. I am usually not concerned until my dogs haven’t been back home for 24 hrs at which point I would like to use Whistle to locate them but if they have been out that long the unit is most likely dead.

Buying the Whistle tracker was easy. I was initially trying to re-activate my old Whistle (dog died, then new dog) and after 25 minutes on the phone with support, was told it was to be "decommissioned". 30 minutes with support and they finally gave me a code for half off a new whistle. Love the whistle, hate the support.

I tried to order it on the app and it didn't go through for some reason. I was supposed to get free expedited shipping through the app. When I realized it didn't go through, I ordered it through the website and had to pay for expedited shipping. I'm hoping this order will go through without problems! The product is great. I have one for my dog, now buying one for my daughter's dog.

I have had to replace two chargers. When I sent a message to Whistle support I did not get a response at all.

I love everything about the Whistle 3 except the battery life. I live on 10 acres and the dog runs10/14 miles a day playing. The battery will not last but 36-48 hrs at best.

This was our third Whistle we have bought. The first two came with the band type mechanism to connect it to their personal collars. The new Whistle has fallen off our dog's collar three times in less than a week of having this new plastic "click" style mechanism. Due to this, I just placed an order for Whistle's own collars with the mechanism already built into the collar. I don't believe it was Whistle's intent to purposely make a worse product to up-sell their customers, but well done if it was. The product works, but go back to the old band style, or come up with a better design. If this happens to you, unplug your router to force the Whistle onto the cell towers and track it. That will get you to the general location of the Whistle. Do it quickly though, our first one is still out in our wooded area somewhere (hence the third purchase :-)).

Have had both good and bad experiences. I've been notified when my dog got out, and I've also come home to find he's out without notification, and without the ability to track the collar, even with a support rep on the phone. I'd like to give more stars, but until they are consistent in their tracking, it's hard to feel secure with their service.

I had the Whistle GPS for a few years and it worked well until a few months ago the activity stopped being logged. The support was unable to fix it so they offered me a 20% discount on a Whistle 3. Unfortunately the unit I received would not connect to my WiFi and had issues tracking with GPS. They sent a replacement unit so we will have to see if the old one was just defective.
