A cumbersome reorder process
Our Whistle 3 was needing to be frequently charged and we were not receiving push notifications when our dog was outside of his home range. This is our second Whistle so we were confident that the Whistle needed to be replaced as we had the same experience with our first Whistle. When I called customer service I was told, however, that the current Whistle had to be properly tested to ensure there was indeed a problem. So I had to fully charge the battery again, and place the Whistle 8 feet from the router overnight and then return it to the charger and notify the representative that the test was complete. Correspondence was occurring by email with the representative who in time said that he had been authorized to provide a discount on a new Whistle of 30% + one month of "free" service. There were no subsequent instructions from the representative related to followup purchase. After not hearing from the representative for 24 hours I called Whistle customer service again and the representative walked me through the ordering/discount process. All told the time invested from the first call, through the test to the subsequent order was more than 48 hours which seemed cumbersome and excessive to me. We are loyal Whistle fans (our new Whistle will be our third in 3 years), but would appreciate a more streamlined system for unit replacement.
