Occasionally my dog likes to go run by himself. Whistle is a great tool to track him and bring him home. The only issue I have had is it can take a little time to come out of battery save mode so that I can start the find my pet mode. I will say I am always just behind him until he starts to tire out so I can then catch up to him. Over-all the Whistle has been the best tool I have to retrieve him on numerous occasions.

We bought a whistle years ago because our dog ran away while we were out of town and she was missing for a week. We found her but didn't want to have to go through that again and the tracker gives us extra peace of mind. Now she's older and we don't use it for her anymore but for our new puppy. Fortunately we've never been in a situation where we need to use it for a missing dog but it is great for peace of mind-especially if we are on vacation. I don't really care about the exercise reports and health stuff but once in a while we look at that stuff and it can be helpful to see. Overall it's a great device-only complaint is it does have to be replaced every two or three years because it will start having issues or stop working and they are pricey and the prices keep going up-they're now well over a hundred bucks. So over time that adds up and you pay a monthly fee on top of that. My husband actually thinks it's crazy that we're paying for it when it's a pretty slim chance our dog will run away again but the one time she did was pretty awful so to me it's worth it.

I have been a loyal Whistle 3 owner for years. I updated one of them to the latest version which gives health statistics like drinking, scratching and licking which is huge for me since my Plott Hound has severe allergies. The weekly wellness report is great. The only reason I only gave 4 stars is the new Whistle now has to charge with a mini USB connector instead of the rock solid charger base that the old Whistle 3 has. These mini USB connectors are famous for failing. No doubt Whistle did this to save money. It's way cheaper to eliminate the charger base and device connectors with a cheap cable and mini USB connector. Hey Whistle, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

The Whistle tracker helped me find my dog when he escaped from the yard, which happened at night so I never would have found him otherwise. This is my second Whistle tracker, the plastic tabs on the first one broke after less than two years and it fell off my dog's collar in my yard, but it's a big yard and I wasn't able to find it. New one has a light, so I'll find it if it happens again.

I was able to order what I needed, but when accessing the website through the Whistle app on my iPhone X some of the images don’t come through (like the icon image for the menu button).

This is my 3rd whistle device. The one thing i would like to see change is a better way for the device to fit on the collar. We have lost 2 of them from coming off the collar. Other than that I love the device!

the website shopping experience was fine, the checkout experience was great, my only beef is that this product, which you claim is great for cats and dogs,is mainly marketed towards dogs. I went on to the site to purchase some more attachments for different collars since I have to order special collars made through Etsy for any of the devices to fit properly on my cats. One product I would love to see would be a silicon sleeve or bumper to wrap around the device so that when a dog or cat lies on pavement or concrete it is protected from scratches and generalized shock.

This technology is great! We have a Husky and it isn't if they will run, it is when! This keeps up at her heels until we get her back. Thank you
