I needed a device that could locate my GSD on demand within the acreage that I live on. We have excellent AT&T coverage and good WiFi at the house. The device works very well and also provides a number of statistical facts about the dogs routine that is fun and interesting. The only possible issue with the device is that it can take a minute or more to locate the pet when you click on a refresh of location. The is more annoying than a problem because when you order the refresh it is likely because you really want to locate the pet. Overall, the Whistle 3 works great. The app is very usable, the device is small, the battery life is good (if you have WiFi where the dog spends most of its time), and the information provided to you about the dog is both useful and fun.

Called in connection with battery not charging on Whistle 2. Had three years and was told I needed a new one! Ordered the Whistle 3 with 20% discount! Wish they lasted longer but everything has to be replaced at sometime!

I discovered Whistle after ‘losing’ track of my Siberian Husky last year... when we adopted her mate a few months later, I ordered one for him before we even reached the house. When we had puppies in the fall, I ordered one for each of them and sent them along with their new owners. It gives me such peace of mind, and the reports I receive with the new model are entertaining and informative. I praise and recommend this product to everyone and anyone. Now if I could just keep the puppies from eating/removing their mother’s Whistle (she’s been through 4 now)
