Product is great when it works. When ours stop working we called to cancel subscription since they would not fix it as the short warranty had expired...of course. They would not refund the balance of the subscription. Then recharged my account for a 2 year renewal in Jan. I saw it on my February statement called again to cancel. They did cancel and refund all but one month of the subscription as they say I did not cancel in Jan. For a unit that had not worked on a year and for a dog that died in June. Not very happy. Would not recommend this company or product.

I purchased 2 whistles one month ago because one of my dogs got lost and I didn't want to go through that again. Already, the back of one device has broken. My dog shakes his head and it falls off. It falls off while he sleeps or when he runs. I find it on the floor all the time. The back is plastic and the collar is metal- I don't understand why. It is not designed to withstand play or active dogs. They have offered me a replacement, but what for? It is going to happen again and I need a product that I know is going to be on my dog, should he get out again. I do not recommend this product. I will be selling my replacement. If you are concerned for your dogs safety, I recommend getting a more reliable product because should he/she get lost, you could end up tracking a device that will be on the floor somewhere.

Love the concept and find it very useful when it works. Unfortunately I went through three Whistles in five month due to technical problems. Support team very polite but unable to solve the problem besides exchanging for a new one. Till the changes to the faulty design are fixed (weak lug ) which causing the whistle to be lost the product does not meet needs of my playful Airedale Terrier.

The device gives false readings all day long. The prongs on the back of the device snap off and the brackets on the device break and they fall off when the dog is running outside. The square box shape of the device catches on branches and fences if you have active dogs and like to hike. Customer support seems to want to talk circles with you on the phone. I called them a couple times. I asked to be refunded initially for both devices and subscriptions. They convinced me to buy a couple new collars and they would send two new devices. I received the collars but have not received the new devices . It blew my mind when I saw I was charged $166.80 for a new subscription that I didn’t need or ask for. Seems the front line staff can’t make decisions and when they do, it gets screwed up.

UPDATE: 12/6/2021. I had purchased two Fi trackers back in 1/2019 as a replacement for my Whistle Go Explorers and both Fi trackers have been serving me very well in terms of durability and battery life. I wish I had made Fi my first purchase choice. I hope Whistle is able to take this information and make very necessary improvements to its trackers. I purchased two Whistle 3 trackers on May 10 2019 and by May 28th one of the trackers had come off where it attaches to the collar, the plastic ear had cracked just from my dogs playing around and it was replaced by whistle. I had not been happy with the battery life of the Whistle 3 units so I upgraded both to the new Whistle Go Explorers on July 25, 2019 due to it being advertised as being better battery life compared to the Whistle 3 but in my experience the battery life was not much better so it was not worth the upgrade and since July 2019 I have had the new Whistle Go Explorers both also break off the collars rendering them unusable. I had contacted customer support and they requested photos to be emailed for warranty replacement but they denied my claim. So I now have two 6-month-old Whistle Go Explorers that are of no use. I find the durability of these devices are not good enough for their intended purpose as I need a tracker to stay on my dog and the battery life is not nearly good enough for tracking a lost pet. Due to the poor construction, poor battery life and awful customer service I decided to purchase two Fi tracking collars as they appear to be constructed decent and advertise much better battery life. For these reasons I can not reccomend Whistle to anyone.

I received a whistle go for a Christmas gift. After charging and starting to set the unit up , I received a notice from Whistle that the unit needed charging...an hour after removing it from the charger. I decided to recharge it and then left the unit on my desk only to find out that it will not hold a charge for more than 24 to 30 hours just sitting on my desk...this is totally unacceptable, 24 hours to a charge...really??? After calling customer service and getting no where, I sent them pictures of the new unit as they requested. Customer service is a joke and it appears the product is junk too. Don't waste your money or expect their customer service to help out in any way. Rob :(

The whistle claim to fame is that you can find your pet when she is lost. The problem is that the designers made a fatal mistake in assuming that if your pet is in range of your wifi, she is safe. This is NOT true. I have tested this several times taking her out for walks. The device will not start tracking until she is nearly half a mile away from our house and across a very dangerous road. You CANNOT depend on this product to keep your pet safe. I have reported this to the manufacturer but no changes have been implemented.

I have the Whistle Go, I do not recommend this product - there is a known bug with the timing of the notification when your dog is no longer in the safe zone. There is not date for a fix to this problem. Additionally, accuracy is not great. I have had the product less than 90 days, and they will not allow me to return the product because it was purchased from Amazon.
