I was an early adapter of whistle. Now my device is being phased out, new devices cost significantly more while delivering the same basic function. While traveling have found that the device significantly under performs in rural areas, which is exactly where you need it most being unfamiliar with the terrain. I don't really care about my pet's activity level just about where he is. I'm only buying a new device because I would kick myself if he got lost and I couldn't find him, otherwise there's not much benefit. In rural areas I've started putting GPS tracking chips in his bag, which work significantly better.

1. It is frustrating that a Whistle customer's details are not automatically included in the order screens even though one has logged in. It should not be necessary to repeat information already on file at Whistle. 2. The rubber rectangle which holds the holder into which the Whistle device snaps had broken. $14 (including shipping) seems over the top. Also the 4-day shipping time. It is a weakness that the rubber device breaks which is compounded by the lack of urgency regarding a replacement. Obviously the pet is unprotected during this time.

I just ordered your product that a friend recommended. The reason for my rating is that you should offer smaller collar's. Some of us have small love ones and they don't weight over 7lbs. with a 7 in. neck. Just a suggestion.

A terrific product, essential to any dog owner, but their support system has failed as they have grown. Shame as they were interested and caring when addressing and ultimately resolving the technical problems we had when the Whistle 3 line was first released. Problems a year later and you would not know the same people are running Support.

I’m on my third whistle in 14 months. They claim it’s waterproof for up to 30 minutes under up to 1 meter of water. My border collie jumps in the pool for a minute then gets out, and repeats. The whistle never gets more than a few inches under water and is submerged no more than a minute or so at a time. They only warranty the original device, but not the warranty replacement. They also will not cancel your $10/mo subscription if the device fails. My subscription just renewed (it’s annual) so I bought the third, device Whistle, you’ve got two strikes. One more and your out.

Just wish you guys weren’t out of stock on the medium and large sizes on different collars

Getting a replacement for a non-working device was difficult. Now sending back the non-working device is a hassle.

Should explain what needs to happen during this period of time when current users are forced to upgrade due to the network (2g) going away. How to add new unit to existing plan would be good info.
