I have been a long time whistle customer. The GPS tracker that I purchased from Whistle will no longer be usable after November. Whistle offered a $30 discount to upgrade my tracking device, but that leaves me wit a $108.20 expense that I shouldn't have. Over the past few years I have been an advocate for this company and told many people to try Whistle for their own pets. It is disappointing that Whistle think so little of long time, loyal customers that they only offer a $30 discount to help. I have ordered the new device, but I will be searching for something better in the meantime.

I've been a Whistle user for almost 4 years and the service is the absolute worst when you need it the most - away from home. We are outdoorsy people and that means being in remote areas so I understand the limits of this technology requiring a cellular signal but if my phone has a data signal then I expect this piece of equipment should have enough signal also. It does provide a degree of "piece of mind" that we should be able to track our fur baby if she were to take off so we keep the subscription active. Although, we went on vacation 2 months ago and the web access map still shows the dog in that location. The unit has been powered on and worn many times around the neighborhood and around town since we returned so why does it still show her on vacation? Now, after almost 4 years we are being forced to upgrade due to Verizon shutting down their 2G CDMA signal and all Whistle offers its loyal customers is the same $30 discount it offers to everyone else? Very poor taste in my opinion. I guess it's time to find a different tracking solution - one that actually works when you need it to.

Hello Derek My name is Poojan and I am speaking on behalf of Whistle GPS pet tracking company. First of all, I want to apologize for the inconvenience you had but apparently what is happening is that Verizon has decided that they wont provide any 2G and 3G services from November 1, 2019 and that is why this device wont work as this device uses Verizon 2G services. We understand your concern and we want to let you know that it means a lot to have you as our customer and we will do whatever it takes to keep you and your fur member happy. Now what I can do for you is that since you got $30 off on a device, I am willing to give you $20 off more so you technically got $50 off on a new device. We will refund you $20 once the order gets shipped. Let me know if you have any other query or concern and I will be more than happy to assist you.

This is my second whistle tracker. The first one that would last around 2 to 3 on a single charge was lost by my cat. I ordered a second tracker and it barely lasted 18 hours. I contacted Whistle by email and tried to replace it while I'm still on the 90 trial period. The person helping me kept saying the new tracker was working properly and it was due to my cat being out of the wifi zone for part of the day and said that to have better battery life to keep my cat within the wifi zone. The whole reason I purchased the tracker is because my cat goes outside, if it was an indoor cat then I wouldn't need the tracker. I kept explaining this to the Whistle rep but, he kept saying to keep my cat in the wifi zone. He didn't try to troubleshoot the issue or suggest making setting changes. I had to call Whistle tech support and explain the situation and ask if I'm able to replace it, they said that since it's under the 90 days that it can be replaced. I emailed the person that I was going back and forth for almost 3 weeks and then he agreed to let me order a replacement tracker. If there was another company that had a similar tracker, I would have gone with them after all of this hassle.

Kind of stupid to say " We will send you a confirmation of your order, then fail to send it so I do not know if you got it, yet you DO SEND a review for thanking me for shopping there.. Very Bass Ackwards..

The time it takes for them to finally ship their products is too long. It took them two weeks to get around to sending it. Too slow.

Hello Jonas, Thank you for taking the time to take our Customer Support survey. We appreciate all the feedback and suggestions we get from our customers and we want to do everything we can to improve your experience. I do apologize for the long wait. We did just release the Whistle GO and GO Explore, and we did not anticipate selling out of the devices so quick. Normally when we have stock we have standard 2-3 day shipping, but because we had to put some orders on backorder, some of our customers did have to wait a while before we could send devices. Once again I do apologize for this. If you do need to purchasing anything from us in the future, the wait will definitely not be as long.

We have a small dog and this will not work on him. We tested it by walking around with it. Our dog is only 5 lbs and we live on the lake. Any suggestions. He got out twice and it would not work.

Hello Dottie, Thank you for taking the time to take our Customer Support survey. We appreciate all the feedback and suggestions we get from our customers and we want to do everything we can to improve your experience. When you say that your Whistle isn't working, is it because the dog is too small and you can't get it to stay on him or is the device just not connecting, are you not receiving notifications? I would like to help you out, if you could give me a few details, I can definitely take a look into what is going on here.

Product does not work as described can not track my animal when he’s in the safe zone does not notify me when he leaves the safe zone I haven’t been able to track him out of the safe zone because the track button isn’t lit this product is for animals that wander a distance from from home and it should be sold that way

Hello Paul, Thank you for taking the time to take our Customer Support survey. We appreciate all the feedback and suggestions we get from our customers and we want to do everything we can to improve your experience. You're correct, the device will not allow you to track the pet when it is inside a safe place. It's still connected to WiFi at this time and you are unable to track, unfortunately. When the pet does leave the WiFi network and safe place, you should be able to do a track session. The device does have a default GPS refresh rate so it can take 1-6 minutes after the pet leaves the safe zone for it to update you in the app and via notification. This setting can be lowered down to 3 minutes. https://support.whistle.com/hc/en-us/articles/360026751853-GPS-Refresh-Rate
