Jennifer who handled our issue did an amazing job. I reported receiving the SP2000 but ordered the SP 4000 which the enclosed invoice stated. In two days she shipped and I received the ordered SP4000 in GA! Special thanks to her efforts! However the Returning SP2000 still sits on my porch awaiting pickup! First it was scheduled with FedX but they never came . Then it was scheduled with another carrier AIT and now they haven’t picked it up! I even called and they acknowledged but again never showed for pick up! Still sitting on my porch! Also very disappointed that the last unit lasted only three years! And I had a Professional Heating& Air Conditioning company familiar with Whispercool units diagnose the compressor failure! Your units should last more than three years.

The ordering process was very simple, and I received my product in a reasonable amount of time. However considering the cost of the equipment you would think the packaging of the equipment would be at a much higher grade. The condenser portion was shipped on top of the evaporator unit. The evaporator was poorly packed for the expense of the equipment. The condenser was properly packed and had no issues. Due to the weight the evaporator box collapsed in. Once I install the equipment I will see if the minor damage will be an issue.

Shipping was delayed due to Covid 19 which delayed installation. I understand, but was frustrated.

Unit would not start up. Found loose factory wire nut that wires had slipped out of. Tried to call for service and was informed to leave message. Not good when you have a tech on site trying to figure out and repair. Time is money. Left message at 1:00 PM on 11-27-19 and did not receive a call back. Whoever wired in the 24V thermostat conversion kit probably caused the problem at the 110V terminal strip.

Customer Service was very accomadating in resolving the issue with the drain. My disappointment comes from the noise volume. It is much loader than our previous model. The physical appearance of the drain line is very stark.

We purchased a new WhisperKool wine refrigeration unit in Spring of 2016. Late Fall of 2018 we noticed that the temperature was gradually rising. We had our HVAC company come out to diagnose and put more freon in it which we thought was the original problem. After no change in temperature, the entire compressor went out and the unit was dead. We had to repurchase (warranty was for two years so we missed it by about 6 months) the entire unit and have it replaced. In their defense they did sell it to us for a reduced cost but very disappointed that the unit only lasted 2-1/2 years and it was $3,800.

I am disappointed that the SC 4000i, the replacement for the 4200 XLT is not a true replacement. By discontinuing support for the condensation evaporation unit, the company has created a difficult and potential expensive problem when replacing the 4200. The company provides no guidance as to how to address this except the glib statement that customers will need to provide a way to remove the water (which may be as little as a pint to as much as a few quarts per day). I hope that this design decision will be reconsidered for future products.

Purchased a replacement system and was told it was identical to the old one. This was far from the truth. The controls are now on an ugly cord with a huge ugly pad. The size of the unit created difficulty with mounting (old one had a bracket and this one doesn't), issues with the electrical / water hook ups as they were shifted from the right side to the left side and this required a lot of work to remove foam insulation in my wine cellar wall to accommodate this change. If this unit was going into a completely new build, I would not be having these issues. If whisperkool wishes to make changes to their products, they should give it a new model name since replacements like mine would have been much better without all the changes made.
