Hired a car from Malega Airport, the hire rate seemed very reasonable. When we arrived at the hire shop, the car was upgraded and we were asked to increase the insurance for the car. We didn't appect the insurance as this was very high. We did have a charge of €900 charged to our credit card. We noticed the car had damage and told the staff, there we not interested in the damage just said take photos, which we did. When we returned the car we were not aware of any damage, but on inspection one of the staff found a slight scratch on the tailgate that could only be seen in direct sunlight. We disputed this warranted any charge considering the larger damage to the car. As we had a plane to catch we left it and the member of staff said there may be a small charge. When we returned home the €900 charge was taken in full and although we went through our credit card provider to dispute and contacted the claim directly we have not had any refund and would advise to avoid this company, we feel completely ripped off by this company.

I had a very disappointing experience with Wheego Car Rental in Vilnius. When I rented the car, nobody informed me that even a small speeding violation could result in the vehicle being blocked. After a minor speeding incident, my rental car was blocked for 3 days, leaving me without transport when I urgently needed it. The customer support advertises itself as available 24/7, but when I called on a Sunday, I was simply told that although they operate 24/7, nobody could actually help because it was Sunday. That completely defeats the purpose of having 24/7 support. On top of that, the insurance was extremely expensive, and despite paying for it, they still took a €200 deposit. I was told the deposit would be returned within two weeks, but it took more than three weeks. Overall, I found the communication poor, the customer service unhelpful, and the policies were not properly explained before the rental. I wouldn’t recommend this company based on my experience. If you want save your nerves, time and be stress less, use normal world wide known companies.

Betrug am Mietwagenschalter! Angeblich sei eine geprägte Kreditkarte mir 3d Schrift notwendig. Meine drei (!) physischen Karten hatten die notwendige „Exposition“ der Schrift angeblich nicht. Tatsächlich steht im Voucher lediglich eine physische Kreditkarte also Voraussetzung. Der bereits bezahlte Mietwagen wurde mir nicht gegeben. Ich hätte rund 250€ extra zahlen müssen, damit meine Kreditkarte trotz des „Mangels“ akzeptiert wird. Finger weg von diesem Anbieter!!! Der Kunde hinter mir hatte angeblich seine Kreditkarte nicht „richtig“ unterschrieben 🤨😖

Pessima esperienza al Wheego Colonia Aeroporto..abbiamo nolleggiato la macchina per 8 giorno, ma già dopo 2 giorni siamo tornati in italia per un lutto in famiglia..ci è stato detto di lasciare la chiave nella cassa di sicurezza nel garage senza specificare il posto preciso, nel posto indicato per ul check-out non erano indicazioni per le cassette di sicurezza, abbiamo girato per mezz'ora attorno al posto di ritorno macchina, ma non l'abbiamo trovata ...per paura di essere in ritardo abbiamo lasciato la chiave nel cassetto della loro scrivania e gli abbiamo mandato la foto indicando il posto...questo ci è costato 350 euro trattenuti dal deposito per "le spese che hanno dovuto sostenere" più di quanto abbiamo pagato per il noleggio. Asssolutamente insensibili al nostro problema e totalmente disonesti rispondendo con arroganza ai email di supplico che gli abbiamo mandato in seguito. Assolutamente sconsigliato! Anche perché ci hanno voluto truffare sul carburante indicando che il serbatoio era pieno 6/8 che invece nella foto l'indicatore 6/8 era quello della batteria, invece quello della benzina era 8/8. Forse volevano trattenere qualcosa anche per mancanza del carburante visto che oltre 900 euro di cauzione si hanno trattenuti altri 150 come deposito carburante 5,50 per un litro. Per fortuna questo hanno dovuto accettare visto l'evidenzza nella foto, ma hanno comunque voluto provare. Inoltre, tutti danni dichiarati in rosso quando abbiamo preso la.macchina non erano neanche vosibili all'occhio umano...perciò anche lì hanno truffato sicuramente qualcuno per ogni piccolo danno si trattengono 900 euro + 900 per l'ulteriore e cosi via...Roba da matti! Evitate se riuscite questa compagnia.!!!

I would give minus 5 stars to this company. They are nothing but scammers & thieves! I hired a car from wheego at East Midlands Airport. I had an email from them giving specific instructions when I arrived at East Midlands Airport to go to rapid drop off phone their number & someone would come & pick me up & better still it was written in red on the email!! They refused to pick me up & instructed me to catch a bus to Pegasus Retail Park. So I caught a bus which cost me £6 they didn’t tell me which hotel I had to go to, to pick up the hire car. Eventually after trying different hotels a lovely receptionist/manager from Premier Inn found out where I was supposed to be to pick up my hire care, it was the Regus Hotel. My car hire payment went up to over £800 instead of the £500 plus I was expecting to pay. I also paid £300 holding fee on my credit card which I would get back when I returned the car. Before I drove away I went around the car & videoed it there was a slight dent on the back left of the vehicle. When I returned the vehicle there was no one in the office so I posted the key fob in a postbox he showed me when I picked up the hire car. As I turned to walk away the so called “manager” arrived. He walked all the way around the car inspecting it & everything was fine. He said once he had inspected the inside the car to make sure everything was okay. I returned the car with a full tank of petrol & in pristine condition. I was told I would receive an email from him in approximately one hour & that my £300 would be reimbursed to my credit card. I have to date not received an email from him nor has my £300 been accredited back to my credit card. I have sent two emails to him asking for my £300 back to no avail. This company Wheego are nothing but scammers & thieves and I will be taking the matter further!!!! I would never use Wheego ever again & I would never recommend them to family, friends & the public in general!!!!

NO ALQUILAR CON ELLOS SON UNOS SINVERGÜENZAS. Alquilé un coche 4 días en el aeropuerto de Lisboa con una franquicia de 2100 euros, y el seguro para cubrir esa franquicia con el buscador Doyouspain. Sólo usé el coche para ir de Lisboa a Fonte da Telha y regresar a Lisboa a los 4 días. En total menos de 80 kms todos por autopista. Al devolver el coche, como la oficina abría a las 07.00 y mi vuelo era a las 08.20 lo dejé en la puerta de las oficinas de devolución y dejé las llaves en un buzón e hice un vídeo del coche para poder demostrar que lo devolvía sin daño (tal y como me dijo el empleado que me entregó el coche). Justo antes de embarcar, a las 08.00, recibo un email de la compañía de rent a car donde me comunican que hay dos arañazos y que la reparación son 975 euros. Me cargan en mi tarjeta esos 975 euros (de los 2.100 de fianzas que tuve que dejar autorizados). Preferí perder el vuelo de regreso a Madrid (había otro a las 12 de la mañana y yo no tenía prisa) y regresar a la oficina. Una vez allí les mostré el vídeo que grabé donde se podía claramente observar que no había ningún daño. Me dicen que tenía que devolver el coche cuando la oficina estuviera abierta y que como lo dejé en la calle yo soy el responsable. Exijo ver el coche y resulta que de los dos supuestos arañazos solo hay uno (que no estaba allí cuando dejé el coche a las 06.50) de los 975 euros me devuelven 300 por el arañazo inexistente pero siguen cargándome los 675 restantes y me dicen que tengo que reclamar al servicio de atención al cliente por e-mail. Llevo desde el 18 de julio reclamando, respondieron a mi email con un mensaje automático asignándome un número de procedimiento y a partir de ahí nada más. Yo les mando un email cada dos o tres días pero no contestan nada. Llamé por teléfono y les dije que iría a Lisboa a hablar con ellos y me dijeron que no era posible, que solo a través del email. Según leo en los comentarios está forma de actuar es típica de ellos, deben vivir de engañar al cliente. Lástima que no leí antes los comentarios...

Absolute scam of a company

They scammed us. Told us that we need a creditcard with a full name on it. That doesnt even exist in the Netherlands. Ended up paying double the price. Very not recommended.
