I purchased a truck and the dealer only had Westlake Financial as a lien holder. Despite my having an excellent credit rating, I was charged 12% interest on my loan. Don't bother trying to talk to a live customer rep. They don't exist. I decided to go to my local bank to refinance this loan, and my interest rate is now 6.99%. Thank goodness I am rid of Westlake Financial. They are greedy and don't give a hoot about reliable borrowers.

Very poor financial options. Wanted $1100 to refinance a current auto loan and put at more payments than what I have left making the end repayment almost the exact same 🤣 that was the most bogus refinance option I have ever been given. What a joke.

Westlake Financial will not stop calling me. I have asked them several times — clearly and directly — to take me off their list. I told them I do not want these calls. I told them I consider this harassment. They kept calling anyway. That is the entire story. No confusion. No “maybe they didn’t hear me.” I asked them to stop. They did not stop. If you are shopping for a car and a dealer slides Westlake in as the lender, understand what you are handing over: your name, your number, and permission for a company that ignores a simple request to leave you alone. Once they have your contact information, you are on their list. Getting off that list is not something they appear willing to do. I am leaving this review so the next person sees it before they share a phone number, a co-signer’s number, or a family member’s number. If you already have an account with them and the calls will not stop after you have told them to stop, document every call (date, time, number) and file with the CFPB and BBB in addition to reviewing them here. That is the only leverage that seems to exist. Do not share your contact information with Westlake Financial if you value being left alone.

Absolute scam of a company. Helped a friend by-co-signing for a vehicle given she was in desperate need of one. Car place we went to uses Westlake and we were getting harassed nonstop. Even worse, Westlake kept taking double payments out and messing everything up on my friend’s bank account. And it doesn’t matter who you talk to, no matter how truthful you are about your situation ; they always give the runaround. This financial company needs to be shut down for good

The Westlake Financial phone line is fake, with just a stupid recording telling customers to "go online to the website" to resolve their own issues. There are no customer service employees to pick up the phone, so customers will never reach an actual person who can help them. News flash: Customers call customer service lines to speak to a human being who can help them. We've had the internet for 30 years now, and 100% of customers are aware that ALL companies have websites. Most customers, including me, know to start at the company website when first seeking help. Unfortunately, the Westlake Financial website offers extremely limited options for assistance, and the technology barely works at all. For instance, there's an option to type with an AI chatbot for help, but the site takes customers in a loop: When customers click on the "Chat" button, it forces them to log in AGAIN...but then they must click the "Chat" button AGAIN...which takes them to the login page AGAIN. Westlake is a fake company, run by AI bots. No one will help you. I hate it.

Horrific company that commits fraud and then gets to sue you. Buncha crooks

I called Westlake portfolio several times this past week alone trying to pay off my fathers loan I reported to them that my dad passed away so to them I’m just an informant they asked me to email them his death certificate which I did. 3 times now and they claim they never got it so they gave me their supervisor email to send it to and told me to call them back in five days and I should be able to pay off the loan then but I’ve never had this much difficulty trying to pay off a debt they’re treating me as if I’m trying to steal my father‘s identity. I’m like put 2 and two together if I was trying to steal my father‘s identity, I sure as hell wouldn’t be trying to pay off all his debts, but what will be what will be so I sent them this last death certificate as requested to this new address and in response, I told them I have never had this much difficulty paying off a debt isn’t that what you guys are in the business office collecting money but they’re refusing my money to pay off the loan. My family is going through enough difficulty and now I gotta play games with these people just to try to pay off the car so I told them would it be easier if I just dropped the car off somewhere and I can use the money that I was gonna use to pay off the loan and buy a different vehicle as the car was willed to me and this is just getting to be ridiculous and I’m tired of getting the runaround any other place that I’ve called in regards to my father‘s debts let me handle them immediately. It’s trying to get it all done, so I don’t have it hanging over my head just doing what my dad asked me to do. They’re just making things so much more difficult for me. Just wonder as anyone else had a problem where they had a problem paying off a vehicle mean what lender is gonna refuse money Westlake obviously does I wanted to pay off the car so I don’t have a car payment hanging over my head it seems this company likes to set people up for failure and their mad cause there’s people like me that aren’t gonna allow that to happen because I feel I’m doing the responsible thing at trying to pay off this debt just weird that they won’t accept my money
