I, for the first time use wepay through my business store on Ecwid. My customer paid using the wepay option. My payment was pending then they sent an email saying it failed and they cannot no longer support my business. How do I get in touch with someone so I can get my money? Was my money refunded back to my customer. This is a mess. I want my money, and I shipped my customers orders while my payment was pending. I should've received my money today. Do anyone have a number where I can reach them?

Avoid this disreputable company
Your reputation and income are far too important so I highly recommend against using WePay as they might damage the relationship you have with your customers and cost you time and money. We are an established business representing the estate of a rather famous artist from the UK. We’ve been selling art related products over the last few years without issue. In fact, after several hundred orders we’ve had no issues with payments or complaints with Stripe or SquareUp and just one dispute with Paypal, (a damaged item received which we resolved).
Then WePay showed up! We added WePay through our Ecwid store and an order came through for $231.99, our first and only order with WePay. Two days later I received an email stating:
“Unfortunately, we can no longer support your business and we'll need to cancel any pending payments."
And they canceled the order in our store!! It happened without our knowing and I have no idea what the customer thinks yet but it doesn’t make us look very reputable because, WePay IS NOT reputable.
Why was this? Because they decided that our “account is susceptible to a high chargeback or dispute rate.” However, if we only had this one sale, no other activity, no chargebacks, no disputes, nothing, and a track record of success with our payments, then this decision is unsubstantiated.
Many others have similar complaints and if the WePay response is true, that their “processor holds them to high standards and has rules regarding accounts that are seen as high-risk” THEN WHY DID THEY APPROVE US TO BEGIN WITH?
Also, I reached out to Ecwid support and ‘Alex F' said; “That sounds pretty strange in this case. Possibly, if you contact them and ask to reconsider their decision, they will reopen your account.”
Reconsider? After this, why would we ever want to do business with such an untrustworthy company like WePay? If we lose this sale or our reputation is damaged, I’m filing formal grievances with the BBB and anywhere else possible.
Lastly, I strongly advise against anyone using WePay, if you read the reviews/complaints they have a consistent track record of holding money hostage and damaging a businesses reputation.
Customer service is non existent, they replied to me with the exact same email as they sent the first time, no personal service and no explanation. Absolutely terrible company.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Our processor holds us to high standards and has rules regarding accounts that are seen as high-risk. If an account or business model is determined to be susceptible to a high chargeback or dispute rate, they will stop processing for the account.
Unfortunately, once this happens, WePay is forced to close the account. For more information, you can read our Terms of Service, available here: http://www.wepay.com/legal/terms-of-service.

We have a very small business and use Freshbooks for our software (which is awesome), but Wepay sucks! They want all sorts of documents, etc and information about our company, what we do, IRS stuff, etc. It's none of their business! Just process my payment already.

We are having nothing but disaster…
We are having nothing but disaster trying to use wepay through go get funding. We raise money for a tiny orphanage, and had the good fortune of two sizable donations. Wepay sent them both back to the donors and provided no insightful answers to us as to why. This harmed our credibility as well as it seems to have cost us these two generous donors. This was a special effort for this time of year and it hurt us and the children. Is there a way to reach a real person and fix this? We cant find one.

We're sorry to see this, Sue! According to our information, our friends at GoFundMe have been working with WePay on your behalf, and recently were trying to obtain the proper e-mail address that was tied to your GoGetFunding account, as the one you had reached out to their team with is only associated with a GoFundMe account. As soon as you're able, please reply to Philip's message from Tuesday, and we'll be happy to further assist.

TERRIBLE
TERRIBLE. AVOID!!
After partnering with the booking system company I use, I thought I would have some faith as Wepay.
After trusting Wepay, my client paid, then I got an email stating my account closure, with no reasoning and that they were going to hold on to the money for x amount of days. I don't mind the account closure, this is fine, and even no reasoning on the account closure. However, business must go on.
Of course alarm bells! I took the time to research and learned Wepay is JP Morgan company, but in fact, they are far from the superiority of JP Morgan standards, as a previous employee of J P Morgan, I am ashamed to know Wepay is in any way related. My client needs their money back immediately and the transaction needs to take place elsewhere. This leaves my business in a very vulnerable state, especially as the transaction is needed before the event date, which is within the x amount of days.
No one has contacted me in 2 days despite: 2 clearly marked tickets for urgent response. I have had an auto robot response which led to web links that had no answers. Really ridiculous service, just problems and issues, no resolution or clarity in what you are doing with my client's money. This is not how SME's can do business. This sort of terrible flow and disruptive service can cause major, if not fatal issues to a company. Wepay cannot be relied on for service or response. I have been kept in the dark about my own company, it's unacceptable.
As a business owner I am completely out the loop and the last one in their priorities. My client hasn't received a word from Wepay, which is contrary to what their robot response literature stated. There should have been complete clarity regarding the transaction not going through but as far as the client is concerned they are expecting a product or service to be delivered on time.
This lack of communication causes a lot of time spent backtracking, double checking and appearing wildly unprofessional to my client when asking them to check their bank, check their emails and explain how Wepay have treated us then for them to kindly repay by other means.
NOT ACCEPTABLE.
EVERYONE IS WORSE OFF WHEN USING WE PAY.

These positive reviews can't be real!
These positive reviews can't be real!
I purchased from a site using WePay. That purchase was fine. 2 days later I had a 2nd charge 3x the size of the original purchase. $600+ their online system doesn't recognize my email and card! No charges in their system but my bank acct is cleaned out! Can't talk to anyone by phone. And not even an autoreply confirming my email to them.

Shockingly Shut
Shockingly Shut - I will let the reader guess what vowel I changed.
Signed up for WePay - thought we would give them a go. Spent two hours signing up for their nonsense service, then another half hour making a test purchase of £10, then had to wait another five days for them to process it, only for them to shut the account saying high value transactions aren't available! Wow! No joke!
They then said they would not allow us to close our account in case they want to take money out of our bank for the single £10 transaction that we made.
Honestly I would avoid this company and service at all costs.
