It’s just doesn’t make sense how such a drug plan are still not taking accountability for how wrongly patients are denied the appropriate drugs their licensed physicians prescribe them? To get customer service representatives strictly dictate an alternative drug that’s not even close or type of medication that treats the medical condition I’m in need of. To be denied a steroid eye drop to treat the severity of Uvelitis for an alternative drug that treats Allergies, you’re freaking kidding me. Among others conditions I’m living with many Autoimmune Diseases which majority causes severe inflammation, what is a darn allergy eye drops supposed to do? This sort of crap is uncalled for, and the worst part, can’t understand a darn thing not able to even communicate proper English. To save a buck I guess we’re continuing getting the short end.

Wellcare sux. I helped out a guy, gave them my phone number, now they won't stop calling even though I told them I no longer help him with his phone, they refuse to remove my number from their database, so I keep getting their ai messages. If that's what you want, then use them. Then because I block their call, they shut off his medical debit card. DO NOT MESS WITH THIS COMPANY, THEY SUCK.

This is literally a criminal organization posing as a provider of prescription insurance coverage. Keep away!

am writing to log a formal complaint against Wellcare's Prescription Drug Plan. The company is actively engaging in systemic barriers to care by denying medically necessary medications prescribed by licensed physicians. Their routine use of restrictive formularies and aggressive denial tactics endangers patient health solely to cut costs. Customer service is unhelpful and intentionally difficult to navigate. This pattern of denying vital coverage shows a complete failure to meet Medicare quality standards, and their Star Rating should reflect this severe lack of care.

If I could give a -10 rating I absolutely would! am DISGUSTED with this HORRIBLE company. I just wasted 2 hours of my life and my eye doc’s life! I had been saving my “healthy benefits” so I could get glasses and contacts. I had the exam, picked out glasses and contacts. Went to pay and healthy benefits card wouldn’t go thru. I called and spoke with four different representatives before I was told that only $63 of the $275 that I have in the healthy benefits is allowed to be applied towards vision expenses. It did not say this anywhere on the website or on paper that I have received, so I wasted all that time and was unable to get what I was there for. It’s bad enough they took away our flex card and we get less pharmacy benefits and we also get less in decent customer service and less in other things that are covered. I have had nothing but trouble with Wellcare since I got It and I honestly do not understand why they call me every single day. Somebody from wellcare calls me at least once a day. I have asked them continuously to not call me anymore. I tell them you are my insurance company and I will call you when I need you. Unfortunately, anytime I’ve needed them and called them they didn’t come through because it’s shitty insurance. Can’t wait to change insurance companies! Received a voicemail claiming to be WellCare indicating important information about my prescription. They requested I call a number. When I did it was asking personal information. I hung up and called WellCare to verify that it was a scam. The agent from WellCare was difficult to understand and kept trying to verify my identity despite me giving them all the requested information. It was a frustrating experience. The agent was very unprofessional and lacked reasonable insight. Saying, "Sir" repeatedly does not mean they are professional.

Wellcare states that they offer transportation as part of their plan. Upon using this service and scheduling a pick up for a Dr. Appointment and at the same time scheduled a pick up time for a return home, I was left stranded at the Dr.office for hours. Upon finally arriving home a call was immediately placed with Wellcare to complain and question this problem. They stated a grievance would need to be filed and someone would call me from this department to discuss this issue,obtain all information and handle this problem accordingly. Well that never took place no one ever contacted me and today after waiting 30days allowed time( their rules) a letter was received stating that the issue has been resolved. So basically Wellcare only called their vendor who they have a contract with listened to them and low and behold that company lied, in that letter it also states that i have no right to know what action if any has been taken. So a grievance with Wellcare is a one way street, that has not be delt with in a way a grievance should be handled in and way. If you want to be stranded at a Dr. Office, fight to get back home and then have the headache of dealing with Wellcare regarding this issue , who does not apply simple definition of a grievance or how to properly perform a grievance ( simply listing to both sides to obtain proper information). Then run and hand over your money to them. And if they can't handle something this simple, then how are they going to handle your healthcare? If you enjoy being mistreated, disrespected and games played then wellcare is for you! If you want at least semi decent health care where the services they offer can actually be used without the issues then go with another insurance provider and don't use Wellcare! I don't care how cheap they are it's not worth it and the headache it comes with!

My physicians have repeatedly prescribed a well known weight loss drug but one that has uses for other medical conditions. They have denied my coverage several times regardless of the fact that it has helped me in the past not for weight loss but for my medical conditions: kidney disease, pre-diabetic, sleep apnea, etc.
