Needed a therapist for ptsd and sleep problems. Not a single therapist in Dayton, OH or its suburbs accepted Wellcare. I can understand if I lived in the country, but this is a big city with many suburbs. So the doctor prescribed me medication which wellcare denied. Called customer service, got transferred 5 times then they hung up. Called again, same thing. The Flex card and otc benefits are just smoke and mirrors. I've tried using the flex card for co-pays but they just look at me like I'm crazy. I asked them to send a list of providers that accept Wellcare, they sent me one name, called them, they don't accept Wellcare. For someone who is disabled and on government insurance this is nothing new, it's just sad.

There is NO WORSE healthcare provider. They straight up LIE from the very beginning. Overseas Customer Service (lack of actually). Their grievance procedure is a scam. I was promised that albuterol would be $10.00. It was $58.00 so I can't afford to purchase. I now suffer daily from breathing problems. It was supposed to be resolved as I use very little in comparison to my premium. I more than pay for the use of it. Many emails, many hours on the phone with people that you can't understand. I'm not a prejudiced man but I want to understand a voice without a heavy accent. Important jobs like this should be in the United States. Still no resolution to this day. Bottom line, they don't do what they say, premiums rise with ZERO notice. This is without a doubt the absolutely worst health care provider in the world. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS MESS OF A COMPANY! YOU WILL REGRET IT!

I have a Prescription Drug Plan with Wellcare. Working with them has been a nightmare, and can't wait to switch. I'll spare the details, but the top line is this: their Filipino service center enrolled me in the wrong product, and misled me. It was a next to impossible to get it switched. Had to get Medicare involved. Even after Medicare instructed them to change, there were nothing but problems. Their Customer "Service" is inadequate and extremely limited. Getting a simple question answered is nearly impossible, even though i always ask for U.S. based reps. It has been nothing but endless frustration and an unbelievable amount of time on the phone. They obviously nhave a team of MBAs who have no clue how the real world works.

Word to the wise for those getting a prescription plan for your significant other. You will not be able to access your partner's account unless Wellcare gets either permission during the phone call or by a written permission from. My wife passed mid February and I wanted to close her account. NOPE - they need a document from Social Security to close it. Or hiring a lawyer to become an executor of her estate (this on top of the thousands spent on her funeral). Can they tell me if her account is paid up to cover the hospital Rx costs- NOPE. No access. I told their Customer Svc that she passed and it wouldn't matter now. NOPE - wouldn't budge. It would be easier to get into Ft Knox than accessing a Wellcare account. I've dealt with her other insurance and healthcare companies and had NO problems closing accounts. This is by far the worst service and am so glad I'm NOT signed up with Wellcare. Good luck to those that are.

We had just switched my mother to Wellcare from United healthcare January 1st 2021. it is now the middle of January I have yet to be able to fill one of her prescriptions. I have called them 15 times and anytime spend no less than a half hour sometimes over an hour on the phone with them. Nothing is accomplished yet. As of now I have just switched back to United healthcare and I'm filing a grievance with them with the New York State Attorney general. My advice is stay away from this company they are terrible. I have dealt with insurance companies and I know it's not always easy but this is the worst company the customer service reps do not even speak English customer service is terrible and they don't even call you back and they don't do anything even when they say they already took care of it. They should be sued and taken out of business they are not a reputable company by any means

I retired in November. In order to us my former employer’s health spending account (HSA) I have to purchase Medicare supplement part D through Aon. Aon only uses a very few companies to provide Part D coverage. We have spent many many hours on the phone doing everything from initial enrollment to trying to get mail order prescriptions filled. Others have stated the language barrier in dealing with customer support. They are correct. They claim to be able to speak English but, good luck. A number of times the wrong word is used to describe a situation. We have several times asked to speak to someone who speaks English. Each time they refuse and go right on talking even though we are not understanding them. In the last incident my wife was on the phone trying to get prescriptions released that our doctor has prescribed for her for years. She was told A Wellcare pharmacist must review the prescription before it can be released. The web site, texts, and emails have incorrect and conflicting information on them. I called Medicare and my wife filed a formal complaint with them. I would advise anyone having trouble with this company to do the same. The Medicare representative was very sympathetic and said the complaint constituted a cause for switching providers. We did no do it due to the HSA. I would recommend anyone who does not have to deal with this company. DON’T. If you are struggling with them file a complaint with Medicare.

I NOW HAVE 2 CHECKS SENT TO MY PO BOX THAT DOES NOT BELONG TO MY COMPANY. $387.04 $290.31 I WOULD ASSUME THAT THE CORRECT PROVIDER WOULD LIKE TO GET THEIR CHECKS.
