Dehumidifier was supposed to handle as much as 2,000 square feet. It's in an area of 800 square feet and I can't bring down the humidity less than 47%.. love the quietness but it's not doing the job that I thought it's going to do

Bought one over a year ago and within 6 months it didn't work. The company sent me a new one and just last month I realized it was not removing humidity no matter what I did. Got in touch with the company and sent them all the info they required only to be told that they would credit me $85. I don't need a credit I need a unit that can last longer than 6 months. Very poor quality and very poor customer service. Keep away!!!

Their product lasted only two months before it broke. Contacted the company who said they would replace it under their warranty ONLY if I either sent them $45 or gave them a five star review. Their customer service is terrible if you have a problem. They wanted me to send it back which I did but they have never issued a refund. Filed a complaint with the BBB and my credit card company. Stated they would only issue a refund if I withdraw my complaint which I will not do.

ETA: 03 September 26: I cannot believe I have to add to this review again, but I want everyone to know that FedEx picked up the 80 pint unit, and my refund is supposed to be process. As for the 150 unit, it runs 24/7 in a 250 sq ft bedroom. It is pulling in roughly 4 gallons of water per day, but today upon emptying the receptacle (I empty 4X a day to keep it from filling up), I noticed a trickle of water filling up a small, square receptacle on the right side of the floor of the unit. It was full, so I drained it. I am worried that water is accumulating anywhere except in the receptacle. I left a negative review for Waykar on Amazon. Today, I discovered it has been removed. I did NOT violate any Amazon policy. In recent months, I noticed that sellers have been able to get negative reviews removed. This never used to be the case years ago. It happens all of the time on eBay, but Amazon let reviewers tell the truth about their opinions on products. I find this very worrying. It is plain wrong that a negative review is removed simply because it is negative. At this point, I no longer feel I trust Waykar. ETA: 26 August 26: I have been without an effective dehumidifier all Summer. The 80 pint unit could not bring the humidity in one small bedroom any lower than 58% during the day. I now have an 150 pint unit that can only bring the humidity down to 52% during the day. That is better, but that is still HOT and HUMID. I have been emailing with Penny since at least the first week of June. I told her last week, I was finally going to pack up the 80 pint unit last weekend, so send a label and pick up this week. She replied she would be sending a label and that FedEx would pick up today. Last night I had to remind her I still did not have the label. This morning, she sent the label with instructions to add a note inside the box and to drop it off at FedEx. If she wanted me to add a note, she should have told me that in June or July or any time before last weekend, NOT after I told her I would be packing up the unit last Sunday. I am not going to unpack this unit to add a note and then repack it. They have all the information on it. Should they not be able to notify their warehouse on it??? If she would have told me to ANYTIME over the last three months to add a note, I would have done so. As for taking it to FedEx, I have at least 40-45 emails back and forth with Penny over the last THREE months. She was made aware in June that I cannot get this to a FedEx location. They need to pick up. We planned for this all along. Just day before yesterday she said FedEx would pick up TODAY. Now, I am told to bring it to FedEx. I had to bell their customer service twice this morning. Spoke to a woman who hung up on me. Belled them back a second time and spoke to a man. He could do NOTHING except tell me he would pass on the message to "escalations." Oh, and by the way, what model do I have, and what is the problem, and what is my email address?? THREE MONTHS I HAVE BEEN EMAILING WITH THEM, YET THIS IS WHAT THEY ASK ME TODAY. ETA: 19 August 26: FedEx picked up the first 150 pint unit. I have a replacement but have not been well enough to unpack it and set it up. I still have to pack up the 80 pint unit for return. I believe Waykar should have FedEx package such heavy, delicate items for return. --------------------------------------------- I do not know where to begin...purchased an 80 pint dehumidifier from them more than a month ago to use in 1 small room. It does pull out at least 2 gallons of water per day, but it is not enough. They told me to order a 150 unit so I did. It arrived in deplorable condition (thank you, FedEx). I need to return it and the 80 pint unit. I am getting nowhere with "Penny" at customer service email. I do not think they understand my position. I keep telling them I am old and in very poor health. I cannot physically repackage an 150 pint unit. It is large and very heavy. I found an 800 number for them, but a machine picked up, and it did not even verify that they were Waykar. Not sure what to do anymore. I have been telling them, I refuse to open this large, heavy box if I am responsible for getting it wrapped up for shipment again. I am too old and sick to do this work. For a month they keep telling me to open the banged up, rattling box to test the unit, and if anything is wrong, *I* have to get it repacked for return. I am not physically able to do this. I have no one to help me. I have explained this over and over. Their products seem to made decently enough, but the customer service simply does not listen. They sent me a label that printed out in a full 8.5X11 size. I am not even sure FedEx will accept this size "label" or what day they might come. I am on the verge of tears.
