Economising has taken the gloss off Warners for us
After many stays at various Warners we won't be returning. Our last trip to Littlecote was ok but disappointed with the attitude at reception when we requsted a map. Very off hand and didn't even acknowledge us. Food offering disappointing at dinner, no salad option. One of our favourite places was Gunton Hall (very comfortable Garden Lodges) but when I went to book again I noticed their amazing buffet restaurant was no more, now menu service that seems to have become the norm at Warners. The gloss has gone for us.

Please Trust Pilot can we have 0 stars
Please Trust Pilot can we have 0 stars. I’ve just been to Thoresby for recuperation after a heart operation. Three days before they sent an email stating a kiddies festival in field nearby (owned by Warners Thoresby) my sister and Is room was overlooking the festival. Deluxe VIP room. Noise for three days, booming music, shouting etc. you couldn’t use your room during day, they wouldn’t move us, no matter where you went blue restaurant, library, great hall, etc booming music and shouting voices. This was supposed to be a quiet peaceful hotel that the CEO’s mother visited a few weeks before and received peaceful time Mr. Pomroy CEO take note I was told when using the Spa treatment for half an hour peace. I wrote to Mr. Pomroy and response was an obnoxious female ringing me yesterday telling me you will not get refund it’s not Warners fault. Sorry they used Warners fields ones by Thoresby, owned by Warners who bought it, they would know at least 9 months in advance and informed guests 3 days before. This is due to Licence only granted on acceptance by the hotel, I’m a Parish Councillor and know. We were duped. Third time of trying to go to Warners. First Alveston Spa broken months told us 1 week before, we got voucher. Booked Bodlwyddan and wish we had gone but I had a medical issue so ended up at Thoresby to also celebrate my sisters and my very big birthdays. We have been treated as beetles you brush away. Our bathroom bin wasn’t emptied on Sunday after asking for clean. beds not made, no milk had to ask this was VIP room. The Kitchen restaurant ran out of food so we paid extra for blue restaurant and it wasn’t good but better. We did have very good Kitchen and Blue young staff and a duty manager on the Friday. Reception need telling guests are important and respect please. I know Warners are in trouble and down millions but guests should he respected so I’m going the legal route Mr. Pomroy as stated to your disrespectful person who rang me. Many disgruntled guests, elderly. Lack of respect by Warners of disabled too.

I’m so frustrated with Warner's so many…
I’m so frustrated with Warner's so many disappointments. I’ll just list them
A) poo on toilet brush and holder
B) we joined a painting course. The course was given by someone with very limited knowledge of painting. He just showed us a painting that somebody else had painted, and then more or less told us to get on with it. He hadn’t set up enough easels for the people who had registered for this course. Consequently one lady didn’t have a place. She was so annoyed I gave up my easel to her.
C) the first night we went in for dinner I informed the people on the reception in the dining room that we had booked VIP
The manager in particular did not believe me and asked me to step to one side. I still insisted and told him I had paid an extra amount of money for the service. He then looked at me with a smirk on his face and told me I hadn’t paid enough. I then explained I had received a card at the entrance gate with VIP on it. At this point he agreed thatI had paid, and booked VIP.
It was a horrible experience!!!
I have also made one complaint in person to Studley Castle and also completed an assessment form.
There response…….There wasn’t one.
The management desperately need educate their managerial staff on subjects like these;
Good manners
Professionalism
Respecting the dignity of others
How to control or eliminate ARROGANCE
Appreciate the people who pay the cost to keep them in their jobs
I will never book a break with warners again, nor recommend them to anyone else

Warner's, Poor Service!
Recently My Wife and Myself booked a Friday-Monday stay at Warner's Gunton Hall Hotel in Suffolk. Having stayed there on a number of previous occasions, we felt assured that they had always provided an acceptable service in the past. We booked a premium Chalet, which we were pleased with, but the Servicing was non-existent. Bath towels were not changed during our stay, the coffee/tea/milk ran out on the 2nd day,had to plead with the Reception for more items. Dining, there is no longer a table Service, only the plates were removed. We are both in our 80's and I am disabled,so had to carry meals from the Service area using my walking stick in one hand and a meal in the other hand.No provision was made by staff for this. But the biggest upset was in the Theatre during a Show when we asked the Drinks Waiter could we order and informed that we were not VIP's. We felt insulted! Sorry to say we will not be staying at Warner's again in the future.

Sharp practice & money grabbing.
This company offer you a £50 discount voucher for signing up to receive their offers. Just try and use it and you will find they only take it on prices that are at least £50 more than those on offer. It's a case of sharp practice in my opinion. A very money grabbing company, they used to include some activities in the cost of the break now penny pinching charge £10 for a bit of air rifle shooting which lasts about 20 minutes, money, money, money.

On a coach holiday from Norfolk
On a coach holiday from Norfolk. 16th March to the 20th.To Bodelwyddan castle. Was lovely to be in the actual castle,On entering our room, went to wash my hands and no water, maintenance soon sorted it.Next night,as you don t get your room serviced next day, which we knew from other breaks with Warners, went to use the shower all the washing depensers were empty, fortunately we take our own.We mentioned this to Stuart on reception when we went down for dinner, this was sorted within the hour.
Restaurant menu, new menu out,not for the better I must say. Starters and desserts are served to you, your main meal you get yourself. Good all Fish chips and sausage have disappeared. We ask our waiter why,we were told it cuts down staff in the kitchen. There is a World flavoured menu different each night, one night obviously it was one that residents didn't like, the queue for the roast was very long.Food,s not that great, the quiche is bland, just like lidl, lettuce leaves had seen better days. The fish that was available looked very sad and
unpalatable.
Breakfast, why place the juice glasses on the tables, why not left beside the juice depensers.
Going back to the roast while we were there, everyone said it was tough and not a good cut.
Starter, prawn cocktail was the worst they d ever had.
Dessert, One called lemon mousse, how can you call this a mousse, lemon curd in the bottom of a glass sundae dish with cream topping,is not lemon mousse as I know it.
Dessert menu is not inviting at all.
Entertainment, The two evenings we watched were very good comedian Philip Doyal was very good, young lady singer kalol comedian really enjoyed.
We did enjoy our stay,it being our third stay, but boy how Warners has changed over the years some not for the better.Cutting staff, charging extortionate prices.Seems the customers come last. They ve got your money and your not getting it back.

HOLME LACY. GINORMOUS MILK STAIN AS YOU WALK IN YOUR ROOM 317 & FORGET YOUR CREDIT?
I was hoping to book room 205 at Holme Lacy for our 50th Anniversary but could not contact anyone for two days to make sure this would happen. £600 for 4 nights seemed a good price but after discovering you had to book first then request a room the price was raised the following morning to £750. Anyway bite the bullet paid the price and then attempted again to try and book Room 205, no chance this was booked months in advance but we could book something else. Mentioned the problems I was having, (the price which I am glad to say she refunded £50), discussed other historic rooms but ones that were left seemed to have problems so opted for room 317, £20 cost. So after sorting the room I was informed I had new figure of £656.01, therefore a credit balance of £50 off the original room price plus £43.99 for the change to a lower rated room. Upon checking out one night early, not eating or sleeping the final night although we did inform him that we would still be in the hotel and that there was still £32.19 credit which I requested refunding to my credit card. "We cannot do that, the amount has to be used towards another booking or purchase". Upon telling him that it was my money not the £50 reduction, he stated I would have to contact Head office, Oh! a joke to part with.
We then got packed up and decided to have a bit of lunch and then start home. After ordering some food we handed over our room card and was then told the card had been cancelled and if we wanted to still order the food we would have to pay by credit card.
NEEDLESS TO SAY WE LEFT AND WILL NEVER VISIT A WARNERS AGAIN.
