I went to my pharmacy today and asked them to move my Rx's to a new account separate from my wife. They told me to call the website or app folks for Walgreens since the local branch does not deal with these issues. I went to the website and app and spent 5 minutes on each looking for a phone number to call for help with my question. I found phone numbers but not the one that fit my need. I called Walgreens general customer service number nationally and was given the opportunity to explain my situation to at least 5 different people and every time they said they could not help me. David was about the 4th person and told me he was transferring me to E-Commerce and not to repeat myself again unless the person confirmed they were in E-Commerce. Melissa, the Pharmacy Tech, refused to confirm my request, raised her voice to me, and when I told her what I needed, she said good-bye and transferred me back to my local Walgreens, where I had to wait for someone to talk to for 5 more minutes. This was exactly where I had started an hour earlier. This is one of my most frustrating experiences in a long time. Please review the call records, if possible, and tell me what went wrong. I called 877-250-5823 at 3:36 p.m. Central Time from my number.

My first order was lost 2nd order was damaged!
My first order was lost. They did not contact me for 3 months. I used Chat support and they told me that the item seems lost. The chat agent arranged to reship the item but this time the item was damaged. Jacques M, who is the chat agent just gave me the customer support phone number. I waited for 4 months for nothing... That is what you will get when your order has an issue. Be aware!!!

I have two stories from this awful place...
I have two stories from this awful place. First I was in Virginia Beach (Holland Road) in Mid March and my 7 month old daughter got very sick, some kind of stomach bug, had to go to the ER due to dehydration. ER sent over a prescription for 2 Zofran tablets. I called ahead to see if they received the order and they claimed they had not and the woman on the phone was extremely rude about my insurance. Claimed I had Medicaid and they couldn't help me. I said I will pay cash, my daughter needs this medication. I go to the drive thru because my daughter is sleeping to check and see if it is ready. The first middle aged woman was polite, but had to check if it was ready. I asked if they could let me use a good rx card, a younger woman came up and said no, i had to bring one myself, even though they always have them available for everyone. I asked when it could be ready because my daughter has never had a prescription and it didn't show in the app. They told me they couldn't tell me when it could be ready. 2 ZOFRAN, for a 7 MONTH OLD INFANT who was very ill. They wanted me to come back later with my sick infant even though no one was in the drive thru and no one was inside because the window is large and you can see the counter. I waited a bit since my daughter had fallen asleep and they got it ready after about 30 minutes. I brought up a GoodRX app and they honored it but the younger woman gave me an attitude and was smirking at me. A concerned mother who had 0 sleep, they decided to bully me rather than help.
Next one is the Walgreens at 1525 Veterans Pkwy in Bloomington, IL. I have had numerous issues with this location just picking and choosing what they want to fill. Once at Christmas they would not fill medication for nausea, Protonix and Phenergan, would not fill it. This past Friday my doctor sent a prescription for Tramadol for a Grade 3 sprain that I have that is not healing well and causing me lots of pain. Pharmacy on Friday claims they are "reviewing prescription." I call because I am going out of town and wanted to be able to use the medication as directed and be able to walk with a little less pain as I cannot take any NSAIDS. I called, they state that they are out of stock, I say okay, do you know when it might be back in? They say "no." No explanation, nothing. I contact my doctor on Monday (today) and give them a location Walgreens told me was in stock. Still Walgreens, next town over. They receive the order and it appears both were sent to the same location. I call Walgreens to try to clear up and see if they have both been sent to the same place. The first woman said yes, both were sent to them. Someone else comes on, I have to tell her again what happened. She said, "No we only have the one sent over, we can cancel it on our end so the other pharmacy can pull it." This was incorrect, and I thought they were being truthful, but they were only telling me what I wanted to hear because there was a survey after. I gave a false good rating because I did not know they were lying. They canceled the entire thing so when I called the Fort Jesse Road location in Normal, IL, the man on the phone said that they do not have any prescriptions in the system for me. I was very confused and thanked them for checking. I called back Veterans and a man answers this time and tells me "I have no idea what happened but we don't have anything for you." I explained that I had just spoken with two women on the phone and they told me they were canceling the one order at their pharmacy, it was even on my app. He again says, "I have nothing for you." He claimed that they had nothing in the system that there wasn't anything ever sent by a doctor for me. I said, I don't understand, and he said "I don't either" and I just said I would have to call my doctors office again tomorrow to have them send it again. DO NOT USE WALGREENS. They are absolutely awful.

Arrogant Pharmacy Manager
The Pharmacy Manager at Walgreens at 4000 Preston Rd in Plano has an attitude problem. I practically had to beg her to give me the results of the Covid test that I needed for travel. Test results are supposed to be available in 2 hours. It took me 2 phone calls and a trip back to the store 16 hours later to finally get the test results. She didn't appreciate my tenacity and really tried to somehow make it my fault that I was not receiving the test results. I received all of the confirmation emails and all other emails that were being sent to me so it was not an error on my part. She made me wait in the store for 45 minutes while she printed the one page report. I've not had a bad experience in Walgreens before - but this one was memorable.

This is the third time
This is the third time, a Walgreens cashier has stolen from me. The first two times I caught the overcharging theft as soon as I left the store and immediately returned to have it corrected. This time I had walked all the way home and started putting my items away when I looked at the receipt and saw the scam. I contact Walgreens via customer service chat and was disconnected and told to walk all the way back to the store despite my disability and exhaustion and it being nighttime. I was even charged for an item I did not buy and overcharged again because the cashier did something and lost the scan of my savings card.

Walgreens pharmacy is closed on weekends!
Walgreens has some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Staff seem poorly trained and horribly inefficient. Now, on top of it all, Walgreens has decided to close the pharmacy on weekends! This is horribly inconvenient and means meds often need to be started in 2 days unless a trip to the one open store in the city is made. This is customer service at its worst. Please stop paying corporate CEOs the multimillions in bonuses and use the money to hire well-trained pharmacy staff! We need our meds despite being over-charged for them, but that’s another issue….

When it comes to customer service
When it comes to customer service, Walgreens is pretty bad.

Nightmare trying to get meds delivered
I'm disabled and can't text. I can't drive. The normal way to get medicine delivered is to text Walgreens, which I can't do. I was told to call the 800 number to get the option to have medicine delivered. (I had verified that the medicine was eligible for delivery.) None of the ppl there were able to help me. One hung up on me when I asked to speak to her supervisor. All promised if I did X (e.g., changed something on the form, updated my credit info), they could deliver the medicine and to call back after I'd done that. I was transferred several times. I spent over 2 hours trying to get delivery option.
This morning, my local pharmacist told me that if I can't text, I can't have the medicine delivered. So much for the Americans with Disabilities Act (which requires them to make reasonable accommodations like letting me use some other method to have meds delivered).
No one at Walgreens seemed to know how their system worked. I was given several different things to try and transferred to at least three different departments trying to enable delivery. None of it worked. Only one person seemed to want to help; most seemed to want to get rid of me as quickly as possible instead of trying to solve my problem. Two were rude.
