VNYLReviews of vnyl.org

Insanely terrible, only gave 2 because I got 2 out of 9 records that I actually like. My last order I ordered in august and it didn’t come until October. After weeks of emailing them to cancel I finally threatened to open a dispute in BBB and they gave me a full refund. I didn’t read reviews first and I was swept in by their deceptive marketing. No you won’t get P!ATD like they put in their ads, you’ll get country music from a band with 10,000 listeners on Spotify after you put no country.

I didn't receive a single package from them for 10 months because I did not select what "vibe" I wanted. They kept charging my account, however. When I called about a potential refund they could not issue one to me...only store credit for their tiny online record selection. If you do subscribe, be aware that you have to choose what "vibe" you want every month for your records to come, or they won't come at all.

The records themselves aren't too terrible, but the customer service is extremely lackluster and has posed a massive problem for many, if not most people. I never had a ton of issues myself but it still did have a lot of issues for the time I used it.

Everything they sent me sucked. I didn't want it to contaminate my record collection. It was like getting deadstock of bands that never made it for a reason, plus one record based (poorly) on your actual tastes. They don't ask for feedback, so you can't encourage them in a different direction. Customer Service when cancelling was easy to deal with.

Very, very underwhelming service. The only reason I am giving 3 stars is because I somehow ended up with a few records that I enjoyed. In my personal experience, I felt the records that I received were casted off artists, or stock pile records they were looking to get rid of (which there’s a reason why they had so many of them). Sometimes I got completely wrong album requested (recently selected an artist with the name ‘Johnny’, I got a Johnny Cash album… polar opposite, luckily I like Johnny Cash). I just think there are better subscriptions out there, that can be even more tailored to the listener. The special pricing offer I took advantage of to start my service was well worth it on paper, but some albums I don’t even want to listen to again. UPDATE (11/1/21): Thank God this subscription service has ended. After a full year of mediocre vinyl deliveries, the cherry on top was not only receiving a record that I did not choose out of my selections, but receiving the same Johnny Cash record that i received in my last order (which I did not request either!)! I'm lowering my rating solely because of the last shipment. How do you not keep track of the records that everyone receives?? I would totally suggest to those considering Vnyl, don't waste your time!

At times they can send some good records but there’s times they completely disregard what you mention in your taste options and send awful stuff. Also do not EVER purchase an add on record. I’m waiting over 3 months now after paying an additional 30 dollars for a rivals record I ordered and their customer service team refuses to give me an update except for canned robotic responses like “yes I am a consumer too and understand why waiting (3) months is frustrating however I cannot provide any updates”. They also are like 2 months behind on orders for me, I’ve paid for records for June and July and still haven’t received them. I’m cancelling soon because their customer service is awful, they actually get mad at you if you bring up an issue and they are painfully behind on orders. There was definitely some decent records I got but had to wade through some truly terrible offerings and abysmal customer service that makes it not worth it.

Thought it would be a fun thing to try so I got myself a 3 month subscription in April 2021. Paid and filled out the questionnaire. Didn't hear anything for over a month. Contacted customer service and they apologized saying they were moving warehouses and asked me to be patient. They expedited my order and I got it within a week. The selection of records was...interesting, I guess. Nothing great and it didn't really seem like they read what I like. Whatever, I got two more months to see what they got. May 10th I selected my vibes for my 2nd box. Again, didn't hear anything for a month. In the meantime, I selected my vibes for my 3rd box.. Emailed on June 16th asking about box 2 and customer service emailed me back same day again talking about their warehouses moving around. Said they expedited my order. June 25th, still nothing. Emailed again about boxes 2 and 3 and got pretty much the same response as the last times. July 2nd, still not a damn thing. Canceled my subscription after being tired and over all of it. Will I get my records? Probably not. Will I get my money back? Probably not according to the terms of service. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because of the quick customer service response times. There are other vinyl subscription options out there that I've used with zero of the hassles from Vnyl. If they got their stuff together I might come back but this was ridiculous.

My daughter was very excited to get this subscription for Christmas...until we constantly had to contact customer service to see where our monthly order was. It takes a month to get a reply, and the empty promises that were made never happened. Save your money and go with a different record subscription!
