I just want to say that after HOURS of tryna get this tv put together it DID NOT work, Let me explain my granny was looking for local channels for the tv and we were trying to get those and after all the hard work😅😅.. We only got 9 LOCAL CHANNELS and that’s just not enough for us, Then another thing for us that we didn’t like is that we had to go through all of that email and other big details that we just felt as if was TOO much just for ONE tv to turn on and get to working!!! I hope they can make better decisions in the future to operate Vizio tv’s and even ANY other tv like this so that they can be accessible and A LOT more easier to handle with🤞🏾.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE ! I bought a 40inch in 2019 and I had it until 2022 , because all of a sudden one day it just STOPPED WORKING so my stupid ass bought ANOTHER Vizio 40inch and had it until (today) 2025 and the same shit happened IT JUST STOPPED WORKING so I called Vizio and they said I need to buy a new one (again) so I cussed the lady out then took the tv outside and smashed it with a hammer ! I WILL NEVER BUY A VIZIO TV EVER TF AGAIN 🖕🏻

It’s disappointing that Vizio shows little concern for addressing issues with their TVs and their customer service. I recently purchased a Vizio TV and I will be returning it because it simply won’t cast. My old Vizio tv has also stopped casting. I’ve tried everything—from different phones to various troubleshooting steps—but the TVs remain undiscoverable. Their customer service is unhelpful; they insist on following procedures that Google has already provided, without actually resolving the problem—just a waste of time. My interaction with Oleg from Vizio support was particularly condescending, which only added to my frustration. Thanks, but no thanks. I’ve decided to stick with Samsung from now on and will be returning this defective new TV.

I am writing this review to share my experience and express my deep disappointment with Vizio's handling of what appears to be a serious security issue involving a corrupted QR code and a compromised setup process for their TVs. After returning to the U.S. permanently following 15 years abroad, my family and I were excited to purchase a new TV. We chose a 50-inch Vizio from Target, attracted by the brand’s reputation for value and quality. Unfortunately, our excitement quickly turned into frustration. During setup, we encountered unexpected complications simply trying to connect the TV to our Firestick. Near the end of the process, a message appeared stating “Activation Successful” — followed by a prompt claiming activation wasn’t complete until we called a provided phone number: +1 (747) 212-9168. Believing this was part of the official process, my wife called. The person on the line claimed there was a mandatory one-time setup fee to enable apps and free Vizio live TV — a fee of $59.99 that was never disclosed on the box or by the retailer. As a consumer returning to the U.S. market after many years, I initially wondered if this was a new standard practice — but it felt wrong. After spending nearly 40 minutes on the phone trying to resolve this, I contacted Vizio directly. Their response? A vague acknowledgment that “maybe” the URL was corrupt and a suggestion to dispute the charge with my bank — nothing more. This issue is well-documented online, with many consumers reporting the same scam. Yet, Vizio seems unwilling to take meaningful responsibility or action to protect its customers. This experience has completely eroded my trust in the Vizio brand. I will not purchase another Vizio product, nor will I recommend the brand to anyone. In fact, I will go out of my way to share this experience so others can avoid falling into the same trap. I also believe major retailers like Walmart — who now own the Vizio brand — should take a closer look at how these issues are being addressed. The lack of action is not only unacceptable but damaging to the brand’s reputation. Vizio must do better.

I purchased a 50 inch Vizio smart TV at Walmart the first week in April 2025 - took it home - set it Up - connected it to my internet WiFi - turned it on to see on the home screen an advertisement from an injury lawyers' firm along with some "apps" for services to which I am subscribed and some "free" content from Vizio. The advertisements in the free content are reasonable but the lawyers' ad on the home page is not. I should not have to pay Vizio for them to get advertising revenue from a law firm and I should not have to see those ads on the home screen.

Purchased a vizio 55 inch tv about a week ago. Very disappointed in the set. Randomly resets for no apparent reason. This happens during live tv , movies and video games. Would not recommend this brand.
