I have called Vizilok several times concerning their locks breaking and have had a couple replaced under warranty. I am EXTREMELY disappointed that the company is now only giving a 6 month warranty which tells me Vizilok knows they don't have a good product and that it breaks. The old warranty was a year. After talking w the rep and finding out about the 6 month warranty, I stated that I guess I just throw the lock away, $150 down the drain. She asked about the actual issue and I told her a flimsy tab breaks off and the vacant/occupied no longer works. This has been the same issue for every single one of these locks and you would think the company would fix it. ANYWAY she said she could send me the new piece to fix the lock. That has never been an option presented to me before nor can this part be located on the website so I had no idea replacement parts were an option. I asked if I could get 10 but was told only one for free but I could buy replacements for $5!! Never knew this and we have thrown out 10 or so locks (my Facilities guy didn't know they had a warranty). We have 5 building on our campus and all the restrooms have this lock. These locks were purchased and installed based on the Amazon ratings I read a few years back. If you look now, Amazon customers rate this poorly and based on the 6 month warranty, it says a lot about how Vizilok feels about their product. I haven't seen many products on Amazon w a 15% 1 star rating! Sturdiness rating of 3.2, value for money 3.3. UI would replace all my locks w something new but I already spent $129- 149 replacing what I had w this. Again, my customer service rep was fantastic and I am happy I have a solution for repairing these when they break, rather than throwing them in the trash because they now come w a 6 month warranty.
