Not worth the hassle
When I can get the Viture Beast XR glasses to actually work without crashing (20% of the time) they're amazing. I bought the glasses because I have an extremely limited amount of time for gaming at night and figured this would fill the gap. I've found that I spend most of my time restarting my phone and troubleshooting until it actually works. I found that the flashy marketing was better than the actual product and I now regret spending the$1000 on the glasses, controller, and wires, only to find myself playing I.T. Specialist more than getting any actual use out of them. I'm doing it all on a Google Pixel 9 Pro, so it's not like I'm on an antique by any means, but I spend up to 30 minutes just trying to make Minecraft run properly... Thank you for responding. To clarify, the glasses crash much less than the 8-bit do. I have updated every firmware and driver that I can find, including reverting back to Old drivers and then updating new drivers again. Again. I also spend most of my time plugging and unplugging and restarting the phone because it just won't connect at all. I don't know if if the USBC on the 8-Bit do where the phone connects is supposed to have such a loose connection, but there is no positive connection. Whenever I plug a phone into it. It just feels like nothing is happening. I have to jiggle the phone around squeeze the controller pull push and sometimes it works after about 15 mins to 45 minutes. Any help with us would be huge. I personally think it's just an issue with the specific controller that I received, possibly a QA issue.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review, and we're really sorry the experience has been this frustrating. Spending more time troubleshooting than actually gaming defeats the whole purpose of buying these, especially when your gaming time is already limited. We'd like to help get to the bottom of the crashing you're experiencing on the Pixel 9 Pro. Since it sounds like it's an intermittent connection issue rather than something that never works at all, it's often tied to cable/adapter setup, USB-C video mode settings on the phone, or a firmware update that's needed. Could you reach out to us directly at [email protected] with your order number? We'd like to walk through the exact setup you're using (cables, adapters, any dock) and see if we can get this stabilized for you rather than have you fighting it every session. We know that doesn't undo the frustration you've already been through, but we'd really like the chance to make this right.
