I ordered two pair of eye glasses after receiving a new prescription. The first pair took over two weeks to deliver and now the second pair is also delayed beyond their "Promise Date." I called Customer Service at their corporate HQ and was dismissed without a resolution three times. Spend your hard earned money at Lenscrafters or anywhere else then Visionworks. They simply are in disarray.

Bunch of liars
I had an exam and did the 2 pair of eyeglasses deal at the time the salesman said if I had any problems the lenses were guaranteed for a year against breaking or scratching just bring the glasses back and they'd replace them I went in about 9 months later and asked about getting new lenses for one of the two pairs because I was told by the salesman they were scratch proof the guy at the counter was a cocky dork and he just said scratch resistant not scratch proof so I told the jerk you people are a joke and walked out and won't be back that was two years ago I went to Walmart not long after that and got two pair of regular and two pair of sunglasses all prescription still have the sunglasses and one pair of the regular I'll be going back there

. Terrible customer service
Purchased complete set of glasses in September 2024. A couple of months later. The right lens had 2 chips on it. I had purchased the warranty, so I took the glasses in . The right lens was replaced after about 2 weeks. The first part of January 2025, I was in Sam`s club and got hit on the bridge of my nose by a large package of toilet paper. My frames were bent, and 3 chips were in the right lens. A week later, I went back into Vision works and was told I would have to pay $193. to replace the lens and frames as I had already used the warranty once. I was NEVER told of this restriction when I purchased the glasses. In fact, this is not the first time I purchased from them, and was NEVEr told anything like this, only that the warranty was good for 13 months. I have contacted Vision works customer service twice, being assured this would be fast tracked to management. no response, and it will soon be 3 weeks since I called. I will NEVER go there again, and have referred several people there, but NO more!

First time going to Visionworks and…
First time going to Visionworks and after purchasing my > $600 pair of glasses I had trouble with the fit of the glasses. First time I went back to Visionworks, the person took glasses heated sides up and adjusted the fit until it was better. After a while glasses began to feel uncomfortable again but this time a young lady was dismissive-just bent the ear part back, making them even more uncomfortable. She was not interested in looking at how the sides were askew or even giving it another try/try to adjust them with heat- told me I could heat the sides with my own hands 🤔 (of course I had already done what she did with the ear part but became concerned about braking or damaging the frame). Of note, when I was there purchasing my glasses and older Caucasian gentlemen walked in with a similar fit issue. This man was seated at one of the table while several adjustments and re-fittings were done with the mirror. It was a pleasant, professional interaction with Thank you and Goodbyes at the end. This is, in part, why I asked for help from Visionworks. But I was simply dismissed... Not a problem for this professional woman (with curly hair😉). I will go elsewhere for my yearly new glasses. If you are similarly situated perhaps you should avoid Visionworks, too. There are lots of other places in Tyler. After searching the web and so wish I had known prior to the purchase (or at least had an experienced, qualified person tell me), the frames are too small/too narrow for my face😩☹️.

If there was a 0/5 stars
If there was a 0/5 stars, I would give it a zero. I was never happy with their customer service as the staff there can be quite ill-mannered, unknowledgeable, and have an attitude that's quite unprofessional. It's also very difficult to reach someone if I have a question. I have been going there for almost 3 years because I liked the optometrist, Dr. Ma, in the Columbia, MD office. But I could not get over how I was mistreated. It was quite appalling. I made an annual eye exam 10/28/24. I get there and 3 staff members were simultaneously asking me questions. First, it was not clear why all 3 spoke which made it more confusing. But 2/3 staff members came across very accusatory as if I had a committed a crime. They reported that I had an eye exam already in February of 2024 at an Ellicott City office. At first, I could not recall if I had an exam in 2024 and told them that I had not. But after realizing I had; I informed the staff that Dr. Ma was not available when I needed to see her, and I needed to see an optometrist due to concerns of my eye. My one eye was quite blurry and irritated impacting my work/activities, so I went to see an optometrist at the E.C. office where they had an early opening. I had a full eye exam, and the optometrist there recommended I take long lasting eye drops to help with my symptoms. She said there was nothing wrong with my eyes. She did instruct me to see an ophthalmologist if my symptoms did not improve, but there was no need because the eye drops helped. I tried to explain this to the staff at the Columbia office, but they would not listen to me. The staff instructed me Dr. Ma told me to see an ophthalmologist because she could not help me. I asked why she wouldn't see me, and they printed out a copy of my visit from the E.C. office for the explanation. Seeing that I was getting upset, the staff treated me as if I was hostile and violent and told me to leave. I read the printed copy of my visit to the E.C office and there was no documentation regarding my chief complaint. The optometrist at the E.C office only documented I go see an ophthalmologist if my symptoms did not improve and gave me a prescription of eyeglasses which I did not need. Dr. Ma or the staff did not find it important to listen to me-they relied only on documentation. I felt like I was being treated like some sort of criminal. If you value customer service highly, please DO NOT go there. I should have stopped going long time ago due to the staff, but I gave it a chance because of the optometrist. Now, I realized none of the optometrists I have seen there are worthy of their profession.

THEIR 100% GUARANTEE THEY OFFER IS A LIE
THE STAFF IS VERY RUDE ESPECIALLY THE ONE LADY WHO SIT TO THE RIGHT WHEN YOU ENTER, SHE HAS PART OF HER HAIR DYED BLACK. I PURCHASED GLASSES AND AT PICK UP COULD NOT SEE THROUGH THEM SPENT 30 MINUTES IN DISCUSSION WITH SOME LADY, SHE NEVER IDENTIFIED WHO SHE WAS, FORCING ME TO TAKE THE GLASSES, SHE WENT TO TALK TO THE DR BUT WAS WHISPERING (DR SHOULD HAVE SPOKEN TO ME DIRECTLY). TELLING ME IT IS AGAINST THE LAW TO NOT WEAR MY GLASSES FOR DISTANCE. THIS WOMAN THOUGHT SHE WAS A LAWYER/DR/MOTOR VEHICLE AGENT AND POLICE. THEY REFUSED TO FIX MY GLASSES DURING THIS VISIT, STORE WAS EMPTY AND DR SHOULD HAVE SEEN ME BUT INSTEAD REFUSED TO. THIS STORE EMPLOYEES NEED TO BE TRAINED BETTER WITH DEALING WITH ISSUES AND NOT WHISPERING AS IF THE CUSTOMER WAS WRONG. THEY STATE 100% GUARANTEE WITHIN THE FIRST 100 DAYS TO REPLACE, EXCHANGE AND FIX ISSUE IF YOUR NOT HAPPY.BUT YET I JUST WENT TO PICK UP MY GLASSES AND COMPLAINED I COULD NOT SEE WITH THEM AND THEY REFUSED TO FIX SO THAT IS NOT ANY TYPE OF 100% GUARANTEE. IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED WITH PROFESSIONALISM AND YOUR HISPANIC THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO GO TO. HORRIBLE PEOPLE, THEY JUST WANT TO SELL YOU GLASSES, THAT IS IT. FIND ANOTHER PLACE OTHER THAN THIS LOCATION. 2 ROUTE 37, IN THE PLAZA OS SHOPRITE, TOMS RIVER 08753.

Poor Management
They refuse to honor the state law’s prescription expiration date. The law is, (in my state), 2 years for eyeglasses and 1 year for contacts, they do 1 year on glasses period! I stopped in several other places to check on this and see who’d honor the state law, they all honor the law, with the exception of Visionworks. If you’re not having any issue with your eyes, then they should be required to honor the state’s law! If your glasses break after one year you are out of luck, can’t get a new pair made here without getting another eye exam, greed??
I've had this conversation with previous employees at this same Visionworks, over the years, only to find out when they check with the doctor, that it is indeed 2 years, only then will they honor your prescription, of more than 1 year old, but less than 2 years!
My husband says they are extremely rude and doesn't even know why we continued going there.
We have finally purchased our glasses elsewhere and will not be going back.
Done with them.

My name is Sandra
My name is Sandra. Please don’t go to this horrible non empathetic place. The Broadway location at the Parkplace mall has The worst unfriendly customer service almost all the staff are very rude and unhelpful. I had struggled to get to my appointments and I have rescheduled and had to miss due to work complications and some because illness. I had my last appointment to pick up my daughters trial contacts and because I had missed appointments before they would not see me this last time as I called them to let them know I was running late due to work Emergency hold up and it was the last chance my daughter could have to get those contacts For final approval, but the staff lately uncompassionate said nope we won’t see you. We are too booked. I even said we will wait as long as I need to. Please squeeze us in.. I will never ever use them and I highly Encourage you all to not go there. Nationwide has much more flexibility , and their service ane Excellent. I am so disappointed in Vision works. Then I looked up a number for customer service, and there was no choice for me to speak to an agent options. They had there was none for complaints or say concerns nothing and they never answered.
