Bought a custom wine cellar 4 years ago. Easy enough and nicely made. A wire that wasn’t secured in the manufacture of the cooling unit prevented a fan from evaporating condensate. Cooling unit stopped working (still under warranty). Tried to get it replaced, Vinotemp said ship the unit to them, they would repair at my cost and return to me. I pay shipping! I bought a new cooling unit, on my own, from Home Depot. Working fine, but no help from Vinotemp customer service. Buyer beware.

Worked great for two years, now I am getting quotes of $1200 (cost of a new unit), and zero companies are me service Vinotemps. Extremely disappointed in the product and the support didn’t help. The customer service had great response time, but no actionable items to help. VT-36

I just purchased this unit in February and some type of switch went out. My temp says 57 but everything inside is either frozen (water) or sooo cold there is frost on the outside. I am now dealing with the customer service and I can already tell by the emails that are being sent, that this is going to be a hassle. They can’t even call, I received an email telling me a part/switch went out. I had to ask if they were going to send someone out to fix or replace it.

I have had several Vinotemp wine coolers and experienced no problems until now. When you need to use the warranty, it is a VERY SLOW PROCESS! You would think with technology today that this should not take so long in just getting it scheduled. I have been communicating since April 5th, 2018 and still have not had my unit repaired. You communicate by email and either the person you are dealing with had too much to do or does not work full time. It is April 27, 2018 and the repairmen was supposed to be at my house between 10 AM and 12 noon, no phone call, no show. Still waiting from Vinotemp to resolve.

This wine cooler was purchased to replace the same model due to a bad compressor after only five years. Why would we buy it again? Because it is the only UNDER THE COUNTER unit with separate beverage and wine compartments. The new unit looks nearly identical to the old one, with a slight difference in the doors. The numbers no longer show through the glass, an improvement in my opinion. We unpacked it, plugged it in and were delighted that it was much quieter than the old one. Imagine our surprise when it DID NOT FIT under the counter!! Even with the adjustable leveling feet as low as possible the unit was about a quarter of an inch too high. We have standard sized kitchen cabinets and granite. And the previous under the counter unit slid in without any problem. The only solution was to find replacement leveling feet, not as easy as it sounds since the screws are metric and the ones stocked at our local hardware store were not. Eventually our son was able to find some that were flat metal on the bottom of the screw and we applied felt pads to them to protect the floor. Even with the minimal height of the new leveling feet the door hinges prevent it from being completely under the granite. We will have to live with good enough but it is ridiculous that this wine cooler described itself as a built-in.

At Christmas time I installed a 15" wine cooler. The motor ran but it never cooled. Vinotemp sent me parts and told me a repairman would soon contact me. Evidently they were not able to find such a person in my area. I finally sent the cooler back to where I had bought it. Unfortunate experience. The CS rep at Vinotemp did his best to get my situation resolved. It just turned out impossible.

Very loud cracking and popping noise

The wine fridge I purchased makes an horrific noise! A hard clunking the likes of which I have never heard. My last wine fridge was very quiet. The bottles only load backward so the bottoms are what is displayed, it would be nice if there were an option for both. It would be nice if someone would contact me with an easy fix as I live in a remote area and returning it will be an issue.
