VinAudit are huge scammers, they have their reps comb selling sites and then have them reach out to sellers telling them they will buy the car as long as they provide a VinAudit report that the seller needs to buy and provide before the inquirer will complete the purchase, once the VinAudit report is provided the supposed buyer disappears, we set up 20 different cars on various sites from AutoTrader to CarGurus and their reps were all over us requesting VinAudit reports, VinAudit reports are a scam, they are often incomplete and dealers will not use them or accept one of their reports, unlike CarFax who do provide genuine complete reports on 99.9% of all vehicles in Canada and the USA, VinAudit will provide you a document that is sketchy at best and looks like they drew what little info they have off of CarFax, do not trust anyone asking you for a VinAudit report, if they are not willing to accept a CarFax report they are scamming you for sure!

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. We're sorry to hear about your experience. We understand how frustrating it can be if someone claiming to be a prospective buyer requests a specific vehicle history report and then stops communicating. We want to clarify that VinAudit does not employ representatives to contact vehicle sellers or encourage them to purchase our reports. We do not participate in or condone these types of scams. Unfortunately, fraudsters sometimes impersonate legitimate businesses or request reports from various providers as part of vehicle marketplace scams. In fact, because we take these scams seriously, we have published a warning on our website to help protect consumers: "Scam Alert: Beware of requests for VinAudit reports on unauthorized websites!" We encourage anyone who encounters suspicious requests to review this information and contact us so we can investigate. Your statement that you created multiple listings and received requests for VinAudit reports is something we take very seriously. We'd appreciate the opportunity to investigate further. If you're willing, please contact us with any relevant details, such as screenshots of the conversations, the marketplaces where the messages were received, the email addresses of the individuals involved, VIN or any other information that could help us identify potential misuse of our brand. We'll review everything thoroughly and take appropriate action where possible. Regarding the quality of our reports, VinAudit compiles vehicle history information from numerous trusted data sources, including government agencies, NMVTIS, insurance, salvage, auction, and other commercial data providers. However, no vehicle history provider including any provider in the industry can guarantee that every event in a vehicle's history has been reported, as the completeness of a report depends on the information submitted by participating data sources. VinAudit is a legitimate vehicle history provider that has served millions of customers over the years. We take reports of fraud and misuse of our name seriously and are committed to protecting consumers. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. We hope you'll reach out so we can learn more about what you experienced and investigate your concerns. You can reach us at 1-800-480-4428 or email us at [email protected] Best regards, Marinel Paclian Sr. Operations Administrator VinAudit.com, Inc.

USELESS. I paid for 5 utv reports that will all be useless. Every section states that information may not be complete. Even the specs are blank DO NOT waste your money!! Update: They responded via email saying "Our system is currently configured to collect and process data specifically for standard vehicles. Unfortunately, it does not cover non-standard vehicles such as trailers, RVs, motorcycles, or boats, which is why the information available for your vehicle was limited" The link was specifically for utv/atv. So why advertise you do that if your system does not actually do that. They gave me a credit for another useless report. I will dispute it with my credit card. Ugggg

Searched a vehicle i know has a Rebuilt title from years ago but this website had 0 information about the vehicle. ICBC in BC shows it as Rebuilt but not this website. Didn't even show any accidents or the vehicle mileage. Waste of money. Very poor results. Rate this site a Zer0.

Hi Wade, Thank you for your feedback, we’re really sorry to hear about your experience. We understand how frustrating it is when important vehicle history details, like a rebuilt title, accidents, or mileage, don’t appear as expected—especially when you’ve seen that information reported elsewhere. While our reports compile data from multiple trusted sources, there can unfortunately be gaps depending on what has been made available to us by regional authorities and data partners. In the case of records from ICBC in British Columbia, not all data may be consistently shared across third-party platforms, which can sometimes lead to discrepancies like the one you encountered. That said, your experience is not the standard we aim to provide. If you’re open to it, we encourage you to contact us directly and share a few additional details such as the transaction date, VIN, last four digits of the card used—so we can investigate further. We’d really appreciate the opportunity to look into this specific report for you and make this right. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention—we’re continuously working to improve the accuracy and completeness of our reports. Best regards, Marinel Paclian Sr. Operations Administrator VinAudit.com, Inc.

All the information that I needed was absent from the report. It gave me a general description of my truck , which I already know, but none of the information I was supposed to get. No owner history at all, no mileage whatsoever, no service records, etc. Completely useless report. My license renewal office had more information at a lower price.

Hi David, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating it must feel when a report doesn’t arrive as expected. We’ve made several attempts to reach you, including two follow-up emails, but haven’t received a response so far. We’d genuinely like to help resolve this for you as quickly as possible. At the moment, we’re unable to locate any order associated with the details provided in your review. If you’re open to it, we encourage you to contact us directly and share a few additional details—such as the transaction date, last four digits of the card used, or a screenshot of the charge—so we can investigate further. Once we’re able to verify the transaction, we’ll gladly work toward a resolution, including a refund if applicable. We take feedback like yours seriously and are committed to making this right. We hope to hear from you soon so we can assist. Best regards, Marinel Paclian Sr. Operations Administrator VinAudit.com, Inc.
