I have used ViaSat for about 7 years and I am sure you have upgraded your dish and server a few times, but no one has contacted me to replace my outdated equipment. I am about to switch to Star Link.

As a remote rural customer, I only have two options, Viasat or Starlink. I refused to support Elon Musk, so I have used Viasat for over a decade. Latency (signal delay) on Viasat is a big problem that interferes with on-line meetings and makes voice over internet calls almost impossible. Data allotment on Viasat is stingy unless you pay through the nose. I have been cut off from higher speed data abruptly in the middle of an on-line meeting. On the upside, Viasat is reasonably reliable unless the weather is cloudy and rainy. If other options become available in my remote area, I will leave Viasat.

Frequent interruptions of service and sometimes excessive usage of data

It is fine for satellite. We lose connection more than we like. When it is running I can get things completed but at a slower speed than WildBlue. We are in a rural area.

Your low budget East Indian customer service is terrible. I tried to return a modem sent to me at the same time as the technician (rating, A+ ) was installing another modem. I tried to explain to the CS rep with heavy accent that all I needed was a UPS return label and Viasat would get the unopened box with modem inside back. The CS rep was confused and put me on hold for well over 5 minutes. I couldn't wait any longer and hung up. Never got a label.

Slower connection now. Seems like it was faster when I first signed up (updated equipment needed perhaps?). Wish there was a loyalty discount or something rewarding long term Via Sat members.
