I am so angry I probably have smoke coming off of me. This is a CROOKED company. I moved from Mississippi in December of 2021. I cancelled my Viasat internet service in November 2021 and mailed back the equipment in December 2021. I got acknowledgement through the tracking number that it was received. I moved to Arizona and forgot about all of this until today when I got a notice from collections today, 2/9/23, that I have an outstanding bill and was charged for 3 months past cancellation. They CLAIM the equipment was not returned until May of 2022 and CLAIM that all the equipment was not returned. DO NOT TRUST THIS CROOKED COMPANY! When I called to resolve this they are a bunch of arrogant ba...rds. PLUS, their service sucks! It is the worst high speed internet but unfortunately it was all that was available in rural Mississippi.

I am four month’s shy from canceling this awful internet service. It costs a fortune for buffering. It is dreadfully aggravating to be out of “high-speed internet” after a few days. It is a rip-off. You would be better off without internet services than throwing your money away on this crap. Viasat does not warrant one star.

Servizio clienti pessimo
Servizio clienti pessimo.
Pessimi!!

Below poor
1. They use foreign telephone customer service that read from scripts. Most unhelpful.
2. Expensive. And price jumped up $40 and lowered data at same time after a year of service.
3. Worst speed ever. I watch MAYBE 12 tv shows a month, and that used 60% of my data????? You have to be kidding me.
4. Installation was a communication nightmare. Took weeks for them to get it installed.
5. Did not get credit when signal was down for several months. Tech removed a part and said it was not needed. After removing part, it worked just fine.
6. If you like to watch that spinning dial on your TV screen lots, this is the service you want. Even when we DO NOT use all the data, it just spins, and spins, and spins, sometimes for over 2 minutes.
DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS SERVICE!!!

Do not use Viasat!!
If I could give a -5, I would. Absolute worst internet service I have ever dealt with. From the internet they provide to customer service. Canceled our service returned our equipment within the allotted time. Receive a text that they haven’t received the equipment and if they don’t receive by that date they will charge. Call and give them my tracking number that says it was returned, was verified by the agent who said it was taken care of. Nothing the next month and then the following month they billed my credit card for the equipment. Called and although she could pull up the tracking number and see that it has been returned before the required date they have to have verification from their warehouse? Ended up having to get my credit card company involved before that money was refunded. Then after it was refunded I get a notification of payment overdue. So waiting for them to charge my account again next month and having to dispute the charge again. Afraid if I cancel my credit card they will send it to collections, so I will continue to dispute it every time they try to charge it.

Our review from 2.5 Years of Service…
Our review from 2.5 Years of Service from ViaSat. We came from Hughesnet and it was great improvement, now it is not like Super Fast or unlimited, but living outside in the country (its a small price to pay).
Lets start with Price $220 a month ain’t cheap by any means, speeds are limited in High Use times and Data is used up quickly with Videos or other larger Programs.
So overall it is a decent solution, when not much else is available. But read till the end to get the whole story.
On Nov. 21st the Internet went down, would happen once and while, but after a quick reset of the Router back up, well this time didn’t work. So went to bed and was hoping time would fix it, next morning still no Internet. So call customer service (using WiFI from my Neighbors Internet and using kids to communicate between me on the phone and wife at the router), they did there normal trouble shooting and determined the a tech would need to come out and said there would be no charge (yeah been paying $8.99 per month if this happened), could not give me a appointment, said Tech would call and set a time with 24hrs. After 2 Days called back and never heard anything. The Lady was telling me that I would have to be patient, well I informed them again that No Internet meant also No Phone. She was unimpressed and that was about it. No the daily chore of driving to town to use internet and Phone seemed to be the norm. NO Call or Appointment ever got set.
So we started to hunt for new Internet providers. On Dec 9th new Internet was up and running and with a busy weekend and lots of Catch up to do, we called ViaSat Dec. 12th to inform them that we are cancelling their services. They stated the Tech tried to contact us, but we would not pick up the Phone, no message was ever left.
We’ll paid for this month Service and only had 1 Day of service, demanded to have this month refunded and also to have the $8.99 service protection refunded, since they never showed up. Which they both denied, forcing us to stay in the Service till the end of Billing cycle (one more Week) and still have no service and are not sending a Tech out to get us a service.
So ViaSat was a decent option at the Time, but now there is Starlink. This gives people in the country actually high speed internet, 10 times the Data for about 1/2 the Price, did I say HIGH speed (video just start playing).
ViaSAT is a thing of the past the, customer service a joke.
Save yourself the problems, money and waiting on Movies to buffer and just get Starlink.

$400+ a month and we can’t even watch a movie…. 1 wk of ok and 3.5 weeks of nothing. Not worth it. If I had kids in school during the pandemic they would have failed due to Viasat over selling their bandwidth..
We depend on wifi calling to get a signal…. Well, if there were an emergency we’d be in a pickle, because of Viasat’s employ promises.
First opportunity I have, I’m done with you
