My house burnt down so called viasat since they no longer have a chat service for helping customers. Their menu for connecting to department is all by voice command (no number to press) so it took forever to get connected to a human. Informed the person that my house burnt down to the ground so he offered to send a tech out to my house to fix the connection. Next they transferred me to the accounting dept (30 minutes wait) and said they were going to send me a box send back the modem. Yeah like there was anything left of their modem. Next they tell me they are going to bill me for the next month worth of service even though I have no service. Needless to say I will get another ISP when I get a new place to live.

This company is horrible!! I wish I had read the reviews first. They will rip you off every chance they get. Do NOT give them your banking or debit card information. They will draft money anytime they want. I wish I didn't have to give them a star at all.

there sneaky they changed my billing date in my viasat my personnel login and when I call they play games and keep saying it will be changed to what I have it set at. MY viasat login is nice so you NEVER have to call them

I have had Viasat for 3 years now and the ONLY reason is because it was the only internet provider in my rural area. They did not properly explain that satellite internet is not the best when on a VPN and that other than days that are perfectly sunny 75 degrees with absolutely no wind, my service would be slow and often interrupted! When I called to disconnect my service as we finally have a much faster, more reliable & far less expensive service in our area; I was told they do not give any credit for partial months and they would not send out the box to return equipment until the day of my next billing cycle. I have worked in Customer Service for almost 30 years and this is absolutely not how you take care of a customer! I would be embarrassed and ashamed to think that the company I worked for would rather take money out of the pockets of hard working people rather than issue a credit that is deserved back to them. I would never recommend ANYONE to use this service as there has been no pleasant experience since the first day thru the last day of service.

This satellite is trash and very slow you only have good speed for 4 days out of 30 then they send a message about..want more high speed here are your price choices when they already are very expensive. I don't have them anymore and advise you not to get it....oh and once you cancel they keep charging your card!!

Chiamo per sapere come procedere e farmi installare la scatola nera: mi risponde una donna completamente seccata, che mi ha chiesto qualcosa di incomprensibile dato l'accento, le chiedo di ripetere e si mette a urlare e mi chiude il telefono in faccia, menomale che alla fine ho cambiato, se si parte già così non oso immaginare cosa succede se avrò bisogno di assistenza EVITARE COME LA PESTE!!

We had ViaSat for 4 years since we lived in a rural area that did not have much choice. At best, the service was slow. At worst, it came to a dead stop. When we were close to the end of our month they slowed us down considerably. Constant buffering. Then they had the nerve to tell us to pay more money to up the data limit with such poor service. When a new provider came into our area we did and its amazing what it is like to have no data limits on streaming and no down time at MUCH less the price. They ripped us off on the last month though. We pay ahead for the month and we were only 4 days into it. Instead of crediting our account pro rate they said they "could not do that and would cancel the service at our next billing". This is what I get for paying on time? I felt like we flushed 324.00 down the drain and they are laughing all the way to bank since they STOLE our money. Bad Bad Bad business practice.

Slow speed, when you have service. The data cap is ridiculous. Don't even think about streaming a movie or tv show because you'll quickly use all your high (uh...yeah) speed data for the month. Avoid this company.....there are much better options out there. Oh, one more thing....they farmed out their customer service to Costa Rica. You can't speak to anyone in the U.S. so any service request takes forever. The last straw with me was they cancelled three different service appointments the day that the service was supposed to be performed. Each service was scheduled a week out so I had to juggle my schedule around to make sure I was home only to have someone call while I was waiting for a tech to tell me they wouldn't be coming that day. I should have sent them an invoice for all my time they wasted.
