My experience with VeryApt was the best. I had not been apartment hunting for over 40 years and found very different practices in place, I needed an apartment in a hurry and the two agents who assisted me in my search couldn't have been more helpful, knowledgeable, or reassuring. They found apartments for me to view that met my requirements and were in my price range. They gave useful pointers in filling out the necessary forms, Emails and phone calls to the agents were always promptly returned and questions answered even after what one would think to be regular business hours. They were always available. I had applied to view apartments with a number of agencies but Very Apt was the one that came through. I would recommend them without reservation.

Rebecca and Scott were so patient with me; I was in town for just a few days to look at units and felt really stressed not being able to secure a unit before leaving. Scott stepped in to save the day by doing a virtual tour of units I was unable to see in person. The feedback that they gave me in regards to finding a place to live was honest and I never once felt pressured. The site was easy to navigate and the reviews from other residents regarding the buildings were accurate. I have recommended the site to others in my program and would continue to recommend them in the future.

Finding a new apartment is typically at least a somewhat painful process - the brokers are not as responsible as you would like, and apartment showings are annoying to schedule. We tried VeryApt because their website was able to provide us with a list of apartments that fit our criteria, but we were pleasantly surprised when a dedicated apartment finding consultant emailed us offering to help with whatever we needed. She was able to recommend a great list of buildings to look at and also scheduled everything in a way that worked for us even though we were traveling from NYC and were only in Philly for a short period of time that day. I was already pretty happy with the service VeryApt provided when I arrived in Philly, but it only got better from there. Scott, one of VeryApt's founders, met us at the first location and we immediately got along very well. Scott mentioned that he doesn't usually do showings, but they were overbooked so he would be our guide for the day. We were impressed that the founders were dedicated enough to be on the ground helping run operations when the need was there. The beginning of the day was pretty standard with the addition of Scott being able to provide us with detailed knowledge of how the market worked, how the apartments we were viewing compared to other standards, and other very helpful insights like how we should negotiate rent prices. As the day progressed, we ran into a few obstacles - not being able to see specific apartments we wanted to, wanting to get measurements/pictures of previous apartments we already saw, etc. Scott took care of everything and went out of his way to make it all happen. He even met us far away after business hours so that we could see one of the apartments again that night. Unfortunately, we were unable to find the right apartment that weekend but we had a constant feed of updates from VeryApt. When we found an apartment we liked, Scott offered to go there himself and do a live video stream tour of the apartment for us. After we decided on taking the apartment, there was a ton of back and forth with this specific building but Scott worked tirelessly to move things along and was keeping us updated every day for more than a week. He was even able to help us negotiate a lower price on the apartment, which surprised me since I thought a lower price was not possible with the addition of a broker like VeryApt in the picture since they charge the building a finders fee. It also made things difficult because we were in NYC but VeryApt was able to set up electronic signature capture so that we could review and sign the lease without having to go back to Philly. Needless to say, my experience with VeryApt was extremely positive and I highly recommend using their service over any other alternative. There is really no downside at all - yes, they charge the building/landlord a fee for finding a tenant, but that does not seem to impact the price negotiating possibilities for you and your life is made exponentially easier throughout this whole process. I don't usually write reviews for things like this but I had to share my experience because it was so great.

I initially stumbled upon VeryApt online through their apartment search website. Their reviews were very detailed and spot-on, which made narrowing down my search to several apartment building much easier. When I clicked on "Check Availability," I was pleasantly surprised to receive an email from Andris at VeryApt discussing which properties would be a good fit for me and explaining that he would help me in my apartment search--all for free! I decided to try it out--Andris made everything so easy, scheduling tours of condos and apartment buildings around my schedule. He eventually found me a wonderful deal at a great building, and then assisted me through the leasing process and provided me with a moving guide. Overall, my experience couldn't have been better. I found a perfect apartment in my price range within three days, and I had someone helping me throughout the process. And it all was free. I would recommend this service to everyone!

From the start the website was very easy to navigate and I liked the ability to select what was important to me that helped narrow the search of available places. The response I received was very quick and thorough, asking me some additional questions to better clarify a search. I was able to view several choices on line in a short period of time so that my in person appointments at the various locations where efficiently scheduled. Scott, who met me for my in person appointments was great. He was able to give me details about each place as well as what was near by or far away (like mass transit, grocery store, etc.). This was extremely helpful, as I am not famliar with Philadelphia, so I relied on Scott's commentary. Scott stayed involved throughout the negotiation process which lead to a lease arrangement that met all of my needs. I would highly recommend VeryApt. Actually, during one of my in person appointments, Scott was asked about services provided by VeryApt and I felt very comfortable sharing my personal experience with the woman who was inquiring.

VeryApt's support was extremely responsive, clear, and accurate, and the broker clearly carefully catered to our needs. The verified reviews were a unique asset that were not available anywhere else, and I really appreciated the ability of the website to help generate a very accurate idea of what buildings were available based on the specific things we were looking for. The customer service was excellent, and the move-in guide was an added bonus. Everything about the site and service made me wish they'd been around for my previous moves. I will definitely be using them again.
