Attempted theft...
Was offered an advertising service where, for 9 dollars, I would have my song advertised to the extent that I would get 10k listens on Spotify. Sounded too good to be true, but thought I would give it a try. Website seems legit, their video explaining what they do seemed good, the communication via email was great - and then last night they used my card details again to try to take nearly 200 dollars from my bank account. Thankfully I used a card that I don't keep money in, just in case they were dodgy, so the payment was declined. So I suppose it wasn't theft, it was attempted theft. Currently looking into how I can file a criminal report against them... ———— Edit: As you can see from their reply, they’re saying I paid for a “trial” and that the next payment was meant to happen. Yet the next payment came 3 days after my “trial” payment, and literally nothing had happened in those 3 days. So what exactly did I trial? And no, as I can prove from the emails, no one told me there would be a second payment, and especially not one as large as nearly 200 dollars. Either this is a scam, or you need to fire the staff member I was communicating with.

Hi Jason, We're not quite understanding the issue since you enrolled in a trial, never cancelled where it automatically went to a regular campaign afterwards. As in any other subscription based service. Everything regarding the transition from trial to a regular campaign is described in detail under our Terms & Considtions / Terms Of Use, which you can find on the website. It is mentioned on the actual price points on the website as well. We're sorry about the confusion & hope you realize that theft is out of the equation. On the contrary, the trial gives many artists & creators the option of testing out the service prior to paying full price. *Edit* Yes, it’s industry standard if a trial isn’t cancelled that it transitions into a campaign. If there were no results in your trial & you were billed anyways, that’s a mistake that would have been refunded regardless but upright calling a subscription service a scam for billing an un-cancelled trial is a bit of an accusation. The trial structure is utilized by some of the largest corporations in the world such as Netflix as well as Spotify & is great for people to test out a firm prior to paying the full price. If there’s anything you’d like to discuss more deeply we’re always available at: [email protected] Would love to hear more detailed what exactly went wrong. // Alice, Customer Support
