Have had Verizon Fios in the past. Have recently reordered and install is scheduled 10/21/16. My grievance is lack of voice service when immediate service is required. Despite the Optimum shortcomings they are usually able to correct problems by phone without going to a menu a having to setup an appointment to receive phone service as was (is) the way FIOS service works. Hope its been improved otherwise my soon to be install will not be as convenient as needed.

The representative was friendly and personable, and genuinely sold me on a package by listening to my wants and needs, not what was best for her to sell.

Was rather pleased with the service recieved from David. However i dont like that i have to wait a whole week to get service installed. I find that a bit cumbersome.

My two Verizon technicians did a great job with my installation yesterday. Despite some problems with their equipment and internal support, they were able to complete the job to my satisfaction. Both men were pleasant, and took the time to explain and optimize the services that I purchased. The only negatives were the faulty initial DVR box (it didn't work), and the DVR activation issues with the second DVR box. It took a long time for Joe and Gary to get through to the Verizon support agents - this significantly delayed the completion of the installation process. I have nothing but positive feedback for Joe and Gary. But Verizon's internal support seemed lacking.

Serously....the first time I called I spoke to a guy and he spoke as if he was rushing me. I signed up but then decided I was going to cancel. I called back and spoke to Liz and she explained everything to me, answered my other questions and I decided to keep it and even added more to my package..she was great.
