This app is atrocious. It does not recognise QR codes from NHS Scotland Covid Status or the non-QR text information on vaccine status. It didn't recognise the screenshot of a PCR Covid-19 test certificate for which I paid £150. I have therefore been unable to check in online and BA Call centre have advised me to go to the airport 3.5 hours before departure in order to check in and show my documents. I have spent 5 hours trying to get this app to work and failed miserably. In case you think I am a technophobe, I am an experienced physicist with expertise in many areas of software. This app to be polite is not fit for purpose. BA - if you want to retain your customers ditch it now and find an alternative app. A complete waste of time.

The VeriFLY app must be banished immediately by all airlines promoting its use. It’s simply a SCAM app gathering your personal information to be shared with third parties. Firstly in making application for the app it becomes a crazed, unjust, illegal aggressive marketing tool demanding link to your Contacts & other personal data completely in breach of GDPR, before it will let you continue with the application. Really cannot impress enough how bad & illegal this app is! Secondly it simply does not work for at least 75% of clients who are left frustrated at airports, missing flights, etc. Thirdly there is no proper governance or recourse to damages from the app owners Daon.com. Your hijacked personal data is more important to Daon. Fourthly, I would love to know what incentives are offered by Daon to airlines that promote the app. Fifthly I am conducting in-depth investigations to be sure this crazed app is stopped, especially at these terribly hard times for travelers during the coronavirus covid19 pandemic.

Very clunky and user-unfriendly system. First experience when flying to the States was bad with many re-submissions but, to be fair, the VeriFLY pass did speed check-in. On return, the U.K. flight was cancelled so we retook Covid tests and submitted details to VerFLY 4 and a half hours before flight. Two hours later, no email received but, on tapping the orange ‘Under Review’ tab against Covid Test, a note comes up saying whoops, this should have been submitted at least 4 hours before the flight 🤯

On both legs of my journey, I was prevented from checking in online because Verifly imposed arbitrary rules that don't correspond to local restrictions. On the outbound leg, I was unable to use a recovery pass instead of a PCR test (even though it was accepted by Canadian border guards), and on the UK return it wouldn't accept my passenger locator form because it was less than 24 hours before the flight (UK government says ANY time before return is ok).

Accepted my Covid test result but rejected my wife’s which was in the same format. Like other reviewers this app is badly designed, useless and stress invoking. Why are BA still using this when the rating is 92% bad. It is diabolical in terms of customer relationship. Time for a review!

What a complete waste of time. Who on earth decided on a partnership with this farcical app? So now they have all my personal details and I have nothing. Can’t even check in to my flight. Trading Standards?

Cheeky, unclear An accompanying passenger appears as “along for the ride”. Confusing, cheesy. When adding an upcoming trip one is presented with a list of destinations with “ A trip to X …confident traveler”, which reappears repeatedly having added the trip. Some “clever” person thought this was a snappy way of engaging with the user: it’s not, it’s confusing, over familiar. Have a look at Ryanair’s app for a better way to upload travel documents. I attempted to upload this review to VeriFLY when they asked me…,surprise surprise all of the many nicknames I chose were “already taken”, hence unable to upload to VeriFLY itself.

This app is rubbish most of the time. Half the time it does not accept the QR code which it scans either from my iPad or my computer. I have to go to the airport to check in with all my paperwork, which takes much longer. Why are BA insisting that we use this app if we want to check in online?
