Professional Team, But the Trading Results not acceptable
The Verified Investing app is very well designed, and the way the team shares trades during the live sessions is very transparent, both for day trading and swing trading. The team is active, professional, and consistently provides daily videos and market updates, which I appreciated.
However, after using the service for several months, I struggled to see how the strategy could be consistently profitable over time. In my experience, some very large losing positions were held for far too long without proper risk management. For example, the day trade on ticker TME has been held for months and is currently down over $193K (around 19%).
On the swing trading side, I watched an account grow roughly 35% over four months, only to lose all of its gains and fall approximately 32% in just 5 to 6 weeks. One major issue, in my opinion, was aggressively shorting semiconductors through SOXS during a strong semiconductor rally.
I’m personally very grateful that my wife encouraged me to step away from the strategy before experiencing the full downturn myself.
Overall, I think the platform, the educational content, and the team interaction are excellent. The staff clearly works hard and constantly updates their concepts and market analysis. Unfortunately, despite the strong presentation and transparency, the trading performance and risk management did not give me enough confidence to continue paying for the subscription.

Our methodology is rooted in technical analysis, disciplined position sizing, and identifying high-probability opportunities across a variety of market environments. At times, markets can remain extended or trend longer than many expect, creating challenges for counter-trend positions. However, our traders actively manage positions based on evolving market conditions and technical data, not emotion or hindsight. This can be seen right within our track record.

Great Insights but don't short!
I have been with VI for over a year now and have never submitted a review. However, after the drawdowns people are experiencing recently, I felt the need to share some things I've learned along the way with this service.
1.) Do NOT take short positions with this service. They suffer massive drawdowns and continue to double down on losing positions. This includes longs like SOXS, QID, ZSL, etc as those are still shorts. I have been sitting in cash as Gareth's entire portfolio at the moment is in shorts, it's still frustrating that I am missing out on this rally.
2.) They do have some really good calls on true long positions. I have made money with this service, but only with long positions. If you look at their historical record, long positions typically don't suffer big losses or drawdowns and naturally recover when the market does.
3.) My biggest complaint is that they recently devalued their service by eliminating the dividend trader, ETF trader, and small cap catalyst. They continue to try to spin their reasoning, but at the end of the day call a spade a spade. You're paying the same price for fewer trade ideas and alerts.
I may not be with this service for much longer, but my hope is that VI takes these reviews seriously and overhauls their product to provide the same value as they once did before. They need to create a service that is truly a longer-term buy/hold, no shorting strategy for those of us who don't want to bet against the market.

At the same time, we do want to clarify that short positions are an intentional part of Gareth’s methodology. While short trades can experience larger drawdowns, they have also historically produced some of the biggest gains during major market reversals. Trading both sides of the market is part of what differentiates active trading from traditional long-only investing, though we fully understand that this style may not fit every trader’s risk tolerance or investment goals.
We also consistently emphasize the importance of position sizing, scaling, and individual risk management. As for the service update you've mentioned, we understand and appreciate you sharing your perspective on this. The decision to consolidate that service was made to streamline and improve the overall member experience while continuing to focus on the highest-conviction trade opportunities and educational content. IN and OUT fast.
This survey came within a few days of my joining so I've waited a few weeks to see how I like the trading room.
I like the fact that can send a message. the trading crew replies fairly quickly on the live screen out loud.
I wish I could read the questions coming in to understand what the conversation is. I like the chitter chatter in the group.
I gave it a 3 so far because there isn't enough different types of stocks being traded, the lunch break is very long.
I have learned how to short better. I thought joining the trading room, I would learn more about the whole trading environment. day trade, swing trade, longer term, dividend trading, ... the whole gamut. It appears that the goal of the APEX trading room is day trade only. Get in and out fast.
In another several weeks, I'm sure I will learn some more and give it more full 5 star rating.

your own research and exploration is all about investing. Gareth is a great Technical Analyst, though, he is more contractarian Thinker, in that sense his Shorting Stock method becomes more over investing and becomes extending position and lasting longer than usual time period.
Still I am part of his paid service but I will observe it for a while since present stock market and overall macro economic uncertainty to blame more rather than study chart and analyzing individual views
