He can read a trend. That part is real. Oil, chips, gold, names like USO, VLO, SOXL — he often gets the direction right and banks a lot of small-to-medium wins. If you only looked at win rate, you’d think you joined a machine.
You didn’t.
I subscribe to the commodities, stocks, and day-trade rooms. Same pattern in all three.
Winners get closed fast, usually in days or a couple of weeks, for a few percent to maybe 10%. Losers don’t get closed. They get held, added to, and talked around until the average “looks better” or the trade finally turns green so it never shows as a loss. Commodities looked like a perfect scoreboard until you saw the open book: a huge USO short they kept selling into a rally, and a grain short that sat there for months. Stocks looked like a 90%+ win rate until you saw the other side: inverse and 3x products and squeezed shorts held until they were −15%, −30%, even −50%. One of those holes was bigger than a normal year’s profit. Day-trade is the same habit on a shorter clock — cut the greens, babysit the reds.
That is not risk management. That is not being able to admit the call was wrong.
As a subscriber you end up copying the part that feels smart (the idea) and the part that blows accounts (no real stop, no size cap, no time limit). He will show you the closed winners. He will not lead with the name that is still open and underwater, or the one they averaged all the way up.
If he published every live line with a stop and a max size before the add, this would be a different review. Until then: good eye for the tape, bad habit with losses. Two stars for the reads. I would not let this process run my money on autopilot in any of the three rooms.
Response from Verified InvestingSep 11, 2026
Thanks for the detailed feedback, George — the note on the reads is appreciated, and raising risk management is fair. A couple of clarifications for anyone reading. Our published track record documents both the entries and the exits of each position, and open and losing positions stay in that record — they're part of what's shown, not removed from it. On position management: we teach a rules-based approach and keep working to make stops, sizing, and time limits clearer, but every member sizes and manages risk to their own plan; the alerts are educational and aren't meant to run an account on autopilot. If anything here needs clarifying, our team is happy to help at [email protected].

Heavy loses that are hidden
I have been subscribed to the Stocks and ETFs service since September 2025. Gareth seems like a great guy, but I think it’s important that i provide my honest opinion that give potential customers heads up. My experience matches some of the recent low star reviews below. In short, the service is not as effective as advertised and losses have been hidden.
In September 2025, I joined the service because of the impressive over 90% win record. However, once you become a member, you are able to see all open trades and there were over 10 trades opened as early as 2024 that were making heavy loses but not closed and therefore, no in the books as a loss or advertised. For example, a NVDA short in 2024 was still open. Each of these trades were about 100% loss each, and I’m being conservative. The reason I can’t remember is because as of recently, they’ve all been removed from VI’s books even though they were still open. I elaborate more below.
I understand it’s based on probability and therefore not all trades go the right way, but it gets worse. I followed the service into a couple of trades shorting the semis when they were flying and got wiped out because of the lack of risk management. VI do not use stops or give an indication of when to. I didn’t cut loses because I’m following experts, it got so bad that, for example, I was margin called out of the WDC short because I was at a 330% loss. Multiple times, I wanted to ask (not criticise) if there was a plan of action, but comments are disabled and there is no way to connect with the team. I watched the daily videos, but there were no mentions of the elephant in the room, and therefore I was stressed for months. Transparency would have kept me assured, but instead I was in the dark. When I mentioned my experience to a professional trader in my area, he was shocked.
Worst part and icing on the cake was that there was a recent update to the app, and all the trades that are pre-2026 that were stil open and making heavy loses, are ERASED. Like I mentioned, there were at least 10 trades making about a 100% loss each, which I’m unable to validate. Furthermore, there was no guidance of what to do with those holding these older trades with losses (including myself), although happy to be challenged with evidence if I missed this.
Below is a sample of a couple of personal loses that I experienced that VI had never closed but are now been wiped from their ecords. Disclaimer that the loss % is when I pulled out because I had no view of what the strategy was. Although still losing, I understand some of these have dropped since. I may have held on if there was transparency.
- WDC - short - 330% loss (margin called)
- STX - short - 60% loss
- LITE - short - 80% loss
- ZSL - short - 73% loss - and shortly after this loss, Ben closed the service that was leading this trade but fairness, he left a video of his recommendation of how to proceed.
- SOXL - cannot remember exactly but big loses in 2025.
In the 10 months I’ve been with the service, I’ve experience a net loss of $20k, which is large considering my largest single position trade was about $1200 (I’m learning and conservative).
In conclusion, It’s not the loses the upset me, it’s the lack of transparency. The list above are only my personal loses. Like I said, there were at least 10 more trades that were still open, some since 2024, and were loosing in the hundreds of %. I cannot trust this service and cannot support it any further. I’m removing my subscription regardless of how successful they are.
I notice that VI are consistent in replying to reviews. Very open to hear your side of the story.

Dear Seng,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We appreciate constructive feedback and the opportunity to clarify a few points.
First, we respectfully disagree with the assertion that Verified Investing hides or erases losing trades. Open positions are not forgotten or abandoned and continue to be monitored and discussed by our Pro Traders until they are ultimately closed. Changes to the platform were made to improve the member experience and reporting, not to remove or conceal historical positions. If you're still an active member, we'd invite you to reach out to our Support team so that our team can help navigate you to any positions that you're having difficulty reviewing.
Most importantly, Verified Investing is an educational platform, not a managed investment service. While we provide technical analysis and trade ideas, each member is responsible for their own trade execution, position sizing, use of leverage, and risk management. We encourage every trader to adapt our analysis to their own financial objectives and tolerance for risk.
We're sorry to hear that our methodology did not align with your expectations, but we remain committed to transparency, education, and supporting our members through all market conditions. We appreciate your invitation to respond and wish you the very best in your future trading.
Sincerely,
the Verified Investing team

I have liked Gareth and his products…
I have liked Gareth and his products for years, but I have evidence that he is blocking negative comments on YouTube and his services. He is not transparent and doesn’t close many losing position (that helps it stats look good). He just quits tracking losers and eventually they disappear with a new calendar year. His stock service is down over 40% YTD and he has over -$400,000 in leverage.
I’m responsible for following him, but he misled me. I wish someone would have warned me. It’s difficult since he blocks, obfuscates, and abandons information that isn’t positive of his services.
Response to verified investing: Most of that you replied is totally untrue. The more I learn about Verified Investing, the more unethical business practices I see. Your company totally filters negative comments online and is not transparent with losing positions.
Your company should be investigated by the better business bureau and a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of all the members who were lured in by false claims.
Response from Verified InvestingJun 17, 2026
Dear Jim,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. While we respect your opinion, we respectfully disagree with several of the claims made in your review.
Verified Investing does not hide or abandon losing positions. Open trades remain visible to members and continue to be monitored and discussed by our Pro Traders until they are ultimately closed. Trading involves both winning and losing positions, and no trader or strategy will be successful 100% of the time.
We also reject the suggestion that our reporting is designed to obscure performance. Our members continue to have access to open and closed positions, as well as continuous technical analysis and insight into the market from our team. Any evaluation of performance should take into account the full body of trading activity rather than focusing solely on select positions or snapshots in time.
Regarding comments and feedback, we welcome constructive discussion and differing market opinions. We do not remove comments simply because they are critical or express disagreement with a trade or market outlook. However, comments that violate platform guidelines, including spam, promotional content, harassment, or abusive behavior, may be moderated to maintain a productive environment for all members.
Finally, Verified Investing is an educational service, not a managed account. Every member is responsible for their own trading decisions, position sizing, and risk management based on their individual financial circumstances and objectives.
We understand that our methodology may not be the right fit for every trader, but we stand by our commitment to transparency, education, and helping traders navigate the markets.
Sincerely,
the Verified Investing team

Quite disappointing experience...
Hello everyone!
As a mid-level trader, I just wanted to live through the experience of day trading with professional people as they are.
First of all, I think Gareth Soloway and his crew at verifiedinvesting.com are a group of good professionals, but there are a few things they could improve at their platform...
1) They just gather and 'vomit' their day trading plan only around 5 minutes prior to the openening of the markets. In my opinion, anyone would need a bit more time to prepare and organize properly his/her day trading session.
2) Gareth is great, but he goes usually too early when it comes to short any given asset.
3) Especially during the day trading sessions (but not only) often times they will provide you with an entry level/s, but rarely point out which are the level/s to exit.
4) They are selling basic stuff courses at pretty high prices. To me, these people look quite insatiable for money, trying to monetize on anything and everything. Be careful!!!
5) I bought my first Monthly Elite subscription on April 20th, which was automatically renewed on May 20th.
This is not properly advertised when you buy the subscription -it is only stated in the Terms and Conditions-, as usual...
On that very same day, I contacted the e-mail for "support" to tell them if it is possible a refund of the subscription -I had forgotten to cancel it, but realized of it on that same day of May, 20th-.
However, they refused to make a reimbursement of that month of subscription -which happens to be now, during May/June 2026-, even when I told them I want to cancel the service, as I wasn't planning to use it anymore.
But even if this is a legal situation for them, this looks to me very fishy, more like a "vulture behaviour", rather than a serious enterprise.
I hope you can all benefit from my experience/insight with them.
Good luck!

Dear Felipe,
Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We appreciate your kind words on Gareth and the rest of our team.
We would like to clarify a few points for readers. The Apex Live Day Trading Room is designed around real-time market conditions, which is why our Pro Traders refine their plans before the market opens. This reflects how trades adapt to overnight news and evolving market conditions.
While every individual may place a different value on education, we stand behind the quality and depth of the content we provide but we do welcome the feedback. Our Support Team would always be open to hearing more on what we can improve or your experiences with one of our courses.
Lastly, with respect to billing, all of our subscriptions do clearly disclose as recurring at the time of purchase, and this is additionally outlined in our Terms of Service that you did agree to before subscribing. As with many digital subscriptions, a cancellation does not retroactively refund a previously renewed billing period.
We appreciate your feedback and wish you the best in your trading journey.
Sincerely,
the Verified Investing team

Disappointed
I submitted a five-star review here on March 11th titled "Vastly exceeding expectations" due to my great results after my first 2 months of trading with Verified Investing. I just deleted that review because things turn south shortly after I wrote it.
Fortunately, I did not take part in their recent 3X shorts of the semi's, Nasdaq, etc. because even as an average trader I thought those shorts made no sense. They repeatedly added to their losing positions, and evidently had no stops (for example, their positions in SOXS were down 64% at one point). A few days ago, they finally exited four of these positions with massive losses. In addition, as of today their many open positions have very large unrealized losses.
Overall, I agree with many reviews here, especially the following:
Professional Team, But the Trading Results not acceptable (May 14)
Valuable Long-side Analysis, But Be Very Careful with Shorts and Margin (May 8)
Great Insights but don't short! (May 1)
Beware of huge drawdowns (updated May 8)
For the several months I used this service, I was $42K positive, but, sadly, I don't trust them anymore. If using their service, I would suggest setting your own stops, and being very wary of shorting stocks and ETFs when they are going up.
Response from Verified InvestingMay 29, 2026
Dear Kent,
Thank you for sharing your experience and for the time you spent with our services. We’re glad to hear you were able to achieve positive results overall during your first months, even though your experience later changed.
We do want to clarify a few important points. All trade ideas shared through Verified Investing are based on technical analysis and probability-based market scenarios, which can and do evolve as market conditions change. In strong trending environments, especially when momentum extends further than anticipated, counter-trend positions can experience larger drawdowns before any potential reversal occurs.
It’s also important to emphasize that all members remain fully responsible for their own execution, including risk management, stop placement, and position sizing. We consistently encourage traders not to overexpose themselves and to adapt strategies to their own risk tolerance and account size.
Regarding trade exits and adjustments, positions are managed in real time based on evolving market structure and updated technical levels. Not every trade will work as expected, and drawdowns are an inherent part of active trading strategies, particularly in volatile conditions.
We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear that your confidence in the service has changed. We wish you the best in your trading going forward.
Sincerely,
The Verified Investing Team

Are you ready to WATCH 200 trades over 3 months for $10000
While Gareth is one of the best analysts I have read or followed, the live trading room was a $400 disappointment. Elizabeth and Benjamn and Drew document their previous quarter as 200 cumulative trades with $10000 net profit as of 4/8/26. ($50 each)
The website daily intra day posts DO NOT show any charts with entry prices. Instead, you only see average entry with a single exit. When I phoned their 3553 number to cancel I was told I was expected to sit hours of the day and LISTEN to hear and write down their entry points rather than be provided with historical charts showing each trade. This requirement wastes my time, particularly for the $50 average trade last-quarter net gains of the bottom three members.
The worst example I could imagine was Elizabeth losing over $10000 on a sort of INTC trade on Apr 8th. Look at the INTC 1-5-10 min chart and ask the mentality of a trader who would lose half their entire previous quarter profits in a single day on a single position.
The fact they would not refund my $400 after less than one day of use suggests YOU READ THEIR NO REFUNDS POLICY.
While Gareth and Lawton's trades are very profitable, I cannot access intraday charts to view their entry point or scale in amounts. I have to LISTEN to each trade rather than being able to view them!
My median gain or loss each day is about $5000 on my own trades. As such, the active trading room without historical intraday entry and exit charts is a waste of my time and my $400 they refused to refund.

Good analysis, but make sure it fits your investment profile.
Pros: The daily analysis and technical videos are high quality, especially the ones featuring Gareth.
Cons: I would advise the potential customer to perform the usual due diligence prior to subscribing, in particular investigate the current open positions P&L, asset allocation, and risk management strategy. This might not fit your investment profile. It didn't fit mine.

Dear Seb,
Thank you for taking the time to share your honest feedback with us.
We're glad to hear that you've found value in our Pro Traders technical analysis and videos, as education and focusing on the charts are the core of what we do. At the same time, we appreciate your point about finding the right fit. Trading styles and risk tolerance can vary greatly from one individual to another, and no single methodology will be suitable for everyone.
Verified Investing is an educational platform. We provide trade ideas, technical levels, and recommended position sizing so our members can make informed decisions that align with their own investment profile and risk management. We encourage our members to perform their own due diligence when determining where entering or existing trades will make the most sense to your own trading strategy and comfort level.
While many of our members thrive with our approach, we understand that a different strategy may better suit some members, and we respect that. Markets evolve, trades won't always perform as expected, and learning how to navigate those realities is part of becoming a disciplined trader.
We appreciate you being part of the community, and wish you continued success in your future investments.
Sincerely,
the Verified Investing team

High win rate, but a lot of pain along the way
Update
Even though I still like watching Gareth and the VI team on Youtube, I'm downgrading to 2 stars in order to be objective.
I've been exposed to other trading techniques and master traders, and I have to say, objectively speaking, the execution here is inferior. High win rate is great, but the R2R is asymmetrically skewed to the downside. My honest suggestion to the company is to be open to other styles of trading, and to have a diversity of analysts when it comes to trading styles. I get the feeling that everyone has to agree 99% of the time in VI, and that's an echo chamber if so. Again, I don't say this to be defamatory, but just as in my original review, results don't lie. And the results I've seen with others far surpass what I've seen here.
Trading is the only career where you can make mistakes and get away with blaming it on the student. In no other profession is this acceptable, and considering the audience that VI tailors to, it's highly irresponsible to dismiss & deflect accusations of risk mis-management by saying every trader is responsible for their own risk when they mirrored the head traders exactly.
______________________
Gareth Soloway and all the other traders are down-to-earth genuine folks. I don't think they're scammers at all. They are very professional as well.
As for their track record, it doesn't lie. They do have winning trades 80%+ of the time in the day trading room and the swing trading service. However, as many other reviewers stated, they tend to hold losers and DCA into positions, sometimes several times. If you're okay with this trading style, go for it and you'll likely profit just as they have.
One thing that always bothered me about the DCA approach they take is that the losers they do end up taking in the day trading room are usually pretty severe compared to their gains. Gains will be range in the $1000-$3000 range mostly, but losses sometimes can be in the $10,000+ range. So you would really need around 5 winning trades to offset the losses of 1 bad trade. Again, results don't lie though, they are profitable over the long term. You really need to have faith and commit to every trade they take if you want the same results. Easy in theory, but in practice, when you see your account down 5% on a daytrade and they're still adding to a short or long, you end up getting very hesitant to follow suit, because what if this is the one trade they take an L on that ends up being a huge loss? It's a roll of the dice. And your expected value goes down the more hesitant you get, because if you miss out on the winning trades or go too light on those, you're more likely to enter a bad trade and not be able to offset those losses with a series of winning trades, leaving you net negative.
For the swing trades, as others have said, there have been some surprising short positions taken that probably should never have been taken, such as $GE and $NVDA. I understand that TA is helpful to guide your trades, but I find that resistance for hot stocks in an up trending market is less respected, while support is heavily respected, which gives you an inherent disadvantage. Especially for stocks in the S&P that are constantly being bought by 401ks. If you want either take the suggested stop losses (in which case your win rate will probably be abysmal, far less than 80%) or wait till the 3rd add on a lot of shorts, and you'll decrease your chances of being in a huge drawdown.
I vehemently disagree with Gareth when he says that he could trade any chart regardless of what the underlying holding is--he often says he could trade rocks if they had a chart. I do believe this applies to most stocks, but there are enough examples to the contrary that Gareth probably shouldn't assert that so confidently. Investor sentiment and news plays a huge role and can defy charts, as has been demonstrated for many of the positions the team is still holding short since 2023. Nonetheless, Gareth is genuinely trying to educate and help new traders and his analysis is very helpful to take into account.
Trading psychology plays a big role, and if you're not an experienced trader and you're neurotic, following them can be a very emotionally painful experience. So much so that even if you make money, it's arguably not worth the emotional pain that resulted from it.
Response from Verified InvestingOct 24, 2025
Dear Bryan,
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughtful and detailed review. We appreciate you taking the time to recognize Gareth and our team's commitment to helping our members grow.
Trading can be emotional at times, and we understand how following traders live can feel challenging. That's why we place an emphasis on education and proper risk management, to help our members learn the reasoning behind every move that our team makes and to develop the confidence to apply these strategies on their own. Our goal as a company is to help remove the emotion from trading and follow the charts as they present themselves, and our team's disciplined proces of strategically scaling at key support or resistant levels in line with their methodology has led to consistent longterm profitability, as you mentioned.
We do appreciate your feedback and we're grateful that you recognize the value in what we offer. Your comments help us continue improving and clarifying our processes for all of our members.
Sincerely,
the Verified Investing team
