Verbalplanet is easy to navigate. They send reminders before your lesson and then provide an opportunity for feedback right afterwards. I have studied with my Russian tutor Yana for a little over 6 months, and it has been a very good experience. She is patient and adjusts lesson plans based on my availability and pace of learning. Anytime there is an issue with scheduling, she is quick to communicate in order to find a better time. I would recommend Verbalplanet if you are looking to learn a language from a native speaker (who often lives in the country of interest) and need lessons that fit with your schedule.

Laura is an exceptional teacher--patient, enthusiastic and encouraging. She customizes the material, even at the very beginning, to match the interests of the student. She creates helpful and color coded charts of conjugations and declensions which make pattern recognition easier. Her love of her native language and traditions is infectious, and makes the student want to learn more and embrace the language and culture. It is a rare privilege to be her student.
