VerbalplanetReviews of verbalplanet.com

Well, I booked one class and it was deleted and canceled a few hours later, it looks like the teacher is outdated and no longer working for you. You better check your teachers regularly to avoid this kind of confusion. Most of your Romanian teachers are by far more expensive her on this platform compared to other learning platform. That is quite astonishing Jens

ça va - ça marche - C'est ce qu'on lui demande :)

Teacher cancelled after taking payment saying she wasn't accepting new students. Why, then, is she open for booking times on the site. I did promptly receive a refund without effort on my part to Verbalplanet's credit. Problem is teacher's showing availability on the reservation calendar and then saying I am not accepting students.

Excellent teachers. Make lesson schedule easier to access! It is very un-user friendly. The icons are tiny, no overview of schedule and the lesson details don't tell you what day of the week.

Honestly, the reviews others make about teachers do not necessarily reflect the ability of the teacher. I tried a number of teachers and only one deserved the 5 star rating. Also to read the review others give after each lesson is tedious and I got very little idea of what the teacher was like from them. It takes a couple of weeks to decide what a teacher is like so it may be better to have students do a review after 4 weeks or so and maybe give categories e.g. organisation, preparation, rapport, reliability that turns into a star rating. The ‘return’ rating however was really useful.

Das Konzept ist bestechend, hat aber Tücken. Meine Empfehlung: 1.

The website is a good idea, but booking instructors is a total pain - especially multiple lessons. The website needs work.
