I have really enjoyed working with Luann from VelvetJobs, my outplacement support specialist! She went above and beyond by being a great resource, which included reviewing and providing invaluable tips to update my resume, cover letter and LinkedIn profile. She was very patient, a great listener and sounding board and provided valuable input to address all of my questions and concerns. She always made herself available when needed. Even though my path in seeking another job opportunity was not a straight-line by any means and took longer than expected, this new opportunity has checked all of the boxes. I am extremely grateful for Luann’s patience, support and responsiveness throughout the outplacement process.

James Bivens has been a great help for me. VelvetJobs was part of the package my previous employer provided when we was laid off. James helped me to rework my resume that I haven’t had to look at in quite a while, also helped me see a lot of lateral possibilities for me to look into. The help he has provided has helped me feel far more prepared than I would ever n my own.

During a stressful time, VelvetJobs helped me in the following areas: resume and cover letter support, interview prep, job search best practices, etc. I was lucky enough to work with Bethany and she was an absolute star. She supported me with all of the points mentioned above and on top of that, she helped reassure me that I'm valuable. While I know my worth, during tough times, it's nice to hear positive comments and recommendations. Bethany was easy to talk to and I always felt like she was on "my side". I should be out of the woods on the job search soon but I would highly recommend VelvetJobs (and Bethany) to anyone out there looking for their next opportunity.

Bethany Greenley was incredibly supportive and helpful. The strategies that she recommended helped me get a job that I love. She is very knowledgeable and an excellent coach! I was very grateful for her guidance!

VelvetJobs fit the bill completely. My career services provider was friendly, knowledgeable and stepped me through exactly what I needed to do to get my LinkedIn profile and resume up to speed. She answered all of my questions and had a solid grasp of the job market. It’s great to have someone who can objectively take your job-seeking components to the next level.

Bethany was a delight to work with. She provided me great insight and counsel in my Job Search process. First, refreshing my LinkedIn presence ( checklist ), Refining and focusing my resume, Providing me additional LinkedIn skills ( how to ask for recommendations, my services, etc ). Finally, she has been a great coach and sounding board.

I was incredibly fortunate to be paired with Luann Horobin after my role as Vice President of Marketing was impacted by bankruptcy, restructuring, and layoffs. From our very first session, Luann’s words of encouragement and professional presence made me feel confident that I was in capable hands during what was a very uncertain time. Luann expertly guided me through revamping my resume and optimizing my LinkedIn profile, but her value extended far beyond the basics. I genuinely looked forward to our sessions and even chose to purchase additional time with her to prepare for interviews, refine my positioning for executive roles, and develop smart, strategic questions to guide conversations and uncover what companies truly need and how my experience can meet those needs. What sets Luann apart is her strategic vision and her ability to help shift your mindset in a positive, empowered direction, especially valuable when transitioning between industries, as I am. Her thoughtful, professional, and genuine coaching style is both energizing and confidence-building. I highly recommend Luann to any executive navigating a career transition. She’s not only a gifted coach - she’s a powerful guiding force through the ups and downs of the job search journey. Thank you, Luann.
