VelvetJobsReviews of velvetjobs.com

There is a good selection of jobs on here that are appealing and having only 4 categories helps with filtering. If you want to work for a larger corporation that is "trendy" and "cool," you can find some good options here. Improvements for the site is how one filters. Yes, we have the 4 categories but sometimes I found it difficult when trying to put in a specific city or job title, I would then lose what category I was in. Not sure if this is a bug in the system but it would be nice to filter category, country/city, and job title all at once to help narrow down options.

I had signed up for this website when I was job searching, and like most people had input my information and after the free trial ran its course I had long forgotten about canceling my membership to avoid my card being charged. As a young person newly entering into the working world, I hadn't checked my bank statements as often as I should and realized that I was being charged the monthly rate for this website. I was extremely upset because I'm a recent college grad and couldn't afford to be paying the monthly rate when I wasn't even using the database. I would've thought that I would receive some type of email from Velvet Jobs notifying me I was going to be charged. Once I discovered this I immediately tried to contact the company. They don't have a phone number listed on their website's contact page and if you search them on Google no phone number comes up either. The only way to get in touch with them was through email. I started to think the website was a scam (which unfortunately is common today) and worked with my bank to dispute the charges. After that whole process I finally received an email back from a Customer Service Representative. I worked closely with Christina who understood my frustration and immediately rectified the situation. She emailed and called me until everything got worked out, which I was extremely appreciative of. I'm not sure I would ever use this website again, but I definitely had a positive experience working with Christina and am very thankful she was so understanding and helpful.

Awesome job opportunities that I couldn't find anywhere else! Very user-friendly, but I felt it was very expensive.

Found a great job opportunity...applied...received confirmation...now I wait! Thanks to VelvetJobs for bringing it to my attention and guiding me through the application process.

Velvet Jobs is a good source for job searching within the entertainment industry. Although I found a job outside of this website, it was great to use for a broader job search.

Easy resume function to create PDF resume. Need premium membership in order to remove watermark on resume. Worth it for the time saved using a more modern looking resume template. Can cancel at any time.

Velvet Jobs is VERY easy to work with for Employers. They have a large candidate pool and easy posting tools. I recommend Velvet jobs for high-end fashion/retail companies only, otherwise it may be difficult to get candidates to apply. Be sure to post your 30 day package jobs slots, 30 days out from expiration as they do not individually run for 30 days.Their support team responds within 24 hours and are very helpful.

VelvetJobs has a truly great amount of job diversity on it; furthermore, it has a very organized job searching structure that helps people find exactly what they're looking for, regardless of the amount of experience they have under their belt. I'll absolutely use it again in the future.
