Bold claims, good product, mediocre support
I purchased one of Velit's gasoline heaters for our transit. The install kit is good and the components seem high quality. Upon starting the heater for the first time, it immediately alarmed for high carbon monoxide. None of my other CO meters were going off. I attempted to contact Velit by phone, but nobody answered and they don't have a voicemail. When I contacted them by email, they initially blew me off saying they had never seen this issue. Once I sent them a video of their thermostat bouncing from 0ppm to 5000ppm next to my Klein CO meter, they responded saying that indeed there is a major problem with the thermostats reading incorrectly when exposed to all kinds of other substances such as wood fumes. They did not offer a solution, just said they know of the issue when two days earlier they had never heard of such a thing, and I was made to feel crazy or inept. Anyway, I have the CO alarm feature turned off. The last thing that I would mention is that the pump is most definitely NOT silent despite their claim that it is. It is very loud when it first starts, but will get quieter especially if run on full, but after many hours on low, there is a very audible click click click both inside the van and out. Velit has some great products, but they need to be a bit more honest with their claims and step up their support. I would be very anxious about buying one of their rooftop AC units for these reasons.

Hi Ben, we appreciate your feedback. The CO sensor is a bit finicky and we are trying our best to find an alternative sensor at the same size and. we would love to offer you a replacement if that happens. We tested all pumps available on the market and that one is the best one we found with a balance between lifespan and quietness. It is not the quietest but we found that a lot of silent pumps tend to fail a lot quicker.
