My first appointment I was late, but there were no worries. My last was with the nurse, Jennifer. I know I talked her ear off, but she was all ears and I seriously had no pain, no discomfort. Hoping all heals quickly and I won't need another appointment for a year!

Appointment time
When an appointment is made a person should be seen at the appointed time or even 15 minutes after appointed time. Not 1 1/2 hours after appointment time. And to have to wait in a waiting room that is the same size as my laundry room with 6 chairs is not only ridiculous but horrible.

Love love love Dr. Salazar and staff. GREAT TEAM!!!
Staff was upfront with the cost and did a great job explaining all procedures. Scheduling was easy and I would recommend to anyone I know. My legs feel amazing. One of the best things I have done for myself. No more pain or sluggishness. Worth every hour that was spent.

No feeling of trust for VCA
After a bout of recurring superficial blood clots in my legs, I went to my doctor, who referred me to Vein Clinics of America. From the start, even the name struck me as very commercialized. Is this a Disney theme park or a hospital?
In setting up the appointment by phone I was greeted by friendly voices with very well trained "enthusiasm", as everything was "Wonderful!" and "Fantastic!" Again giving the experience of dealing with a highly commercialized organization.
The exam itself went very well, short wait times, friendly, knowledgeable staff, and fortunately no "enthusiasm" from the professionals.
But my total experience did not infuse me with a level of trust I need for my healthcare. I decided to go to a university medical school, which is non-profit and close to my work, whereas I would have to take time off work and drive to get to VCA.
And It is hard to believe that any company could have so many 5 star reviews as Vein Clinics of America. And they are all just short, bubbly, positive, non-descriptive statements like "Great!", "Love Dr So-an-so", or "Fantastic!". (VNC seems to love that expression.) Why is it that positive reviews do not need to be more descriptive of the consumer's exact experience but negative reviews do?

Nice staff
Everyone was very nice from the front office to the medical team to the insurance liaison. There was no pressure. I would give them five stars except that they are changing to an electronic files system, but a hard copy of all paperwork still needs to be filled out. Additionally, you have to use an iPad to check in each time. It may be efficient for the company, but it's tacky.
